This was in 1980, the last stop on my first ever coast-co-coast tour of the US. Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan were slugging it out for the White Hous

Great stay 7/8/2009

Stayed in late June 09 until 7/6. Great service, room was always perfectly kept. Very expensive restaurant, but with 4k eateries in the city, who cares? The hotel is central to everything. You could not ask for a better home base. BART at the door, cable car at the door, street cars and busses at the door. I look forward to going back. more

Hyatt Regency 7/23/2006

I recently got the chance to spend a night a the Hyatt last week and it was the best experience. The location is amazing- a few steps away from BART, the Ferry Building, Embarcadero Center, and a few blocks from Union Square. Easy access to Fisherman's wharf and other sites too! The concierge is knowledgeable and helpful, and staff is very friendly. I also have to say that the rooms here are top notch, equipped with mini-fridge, nice bathrooms, and high quality bedding with pillow top mattresses with tons of down pillows. The bed was the seriously the highlight of my week! more
