A/C was not cooling upstairs enough and seemed to run all the time to cool 2600 sf 2-story home. Orlando (owner) came out and discovered bearing on condenser cooling fan bad and found system with rated at 5 Tons, but ducting work was for a 4-Ton unit. We were in attic together where he measured every return and delivery line and came up with an educated assessment of A/C unit. Turns out the system lacked 2 returns and about 3 or 4 vents to operate properly. The unit was like trying to breath through a straw. Orlando gave full disclosure of how job would be done, how long it would take and how much it cost. He had a slide ruler chart that gave him much information and I was most impressed at the nearly 2 hours he spent just assessing the system needs. No "Up-Sell" to a new unit. Just simply showed me how to make existing unit work properly for the first time in 14 years!!! Orlando is the owner/operator and truly cares about his customers. I was in the customer service business for nearly 30 years. I know when you're getting lip service and when you're getting the real deal. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Hutchinson Heating & Air to any one. more

Real pros - friendly and honest. Solid family business. Had a problem with our HVAC unit in our casita - no air flow and noisy. Repairman was on-time, spent time evaluating problems, called into owner with a problem he detected. Part needed to be ordered for repair - minimum cost. Explained steps he was going to take and kept us updated on status along way. He thoroughly cleaned the unit inside and out and took care to ensure he protected the wood flooring and furnishings. Came back when part was received (within 1 week) and completed job --- proved heat and air working. Spent over 8 hours total between diagnostics, work and repair. Highly recommend - no gouging, no 'hidden costs', etc. more

Air was not cooling house. We used this company last year to repair our old furnace and was very happy with them. I called on Tuesday afternoon and they scheduled an appt for after 7pm (when I would be home). Tom, the technician was at our house waiting for us. He checked our air filter and then tested our a/c unit. Our refrigerant was low. Tom explained the service procedure and pricing. He filled our unit and tested all of our registers to make sure that it was properly cooling the house. He also gave us a lesson about air filters which we found extremely helpful. I appreciate the fact that they were very responsive and the technician was more punctual than us. We are in a heat wave and with small children at our home during the day, we were happy that we didn't have to wait to get it fixed., Although there are other companies in this area just as reputable, I will continue to call Hutchinson Heating and Air for all of our needs. more

Orlando is AMAZING!! We could not get the fireplace in our family room to ignite. Orlando worked on it and found that there was a disconnected wire. He plugged it in and it works great! He is so extremely honest and ethical and hardworking. I would only trust Orlando with my air or heating issues. He is simply the BEST in the business! more

Originally had them come over for a tune-up of my A/C which had not had one in 2-3 years. While there the technician diagnosed a problem with the downstairs unit and fixed it. Could not have asked for better service. The service technician was there earlier than anticipated, listened to my concerns and then went to work thoroughly going through both my upstairs and downstairs units. He was professional, courteous and kept me informed about everything he was doing. He explained what was wrong and what he needed to do fix the problem. He answered a lot of general questions I had about A/C and was very patient with me. A great company and would not hesitate to use them again the next time I need service or to replace my HVAC. more

This repair was accomplished in two calls. The first one was on 5/17 and Eric told me that he couldn't do anything because there was a big bush blocking all access to the unit. I would have to have someone come and remove it. I was not charged for the service call. I was lucky to get someone that afternoon so I called back to reschedule....I was scheduled for 5/19. Orlando (owner) came and ended up in the attic to replace a fuse... he then repaired the outside wiring which had become exposed and reloaded the unit with coolant. He also replaced my air filter in the hall. Excellent service! more

Excellent, Excellent service and very knowledgeable. Hutchinson is a family business and his support staff (wife) is also very effective. All of my phone calls were answered immediately and with great service and communication on timing of the arrival etc.. I am very, very pleased and will use Hutchinson every time. Orlando even had to move boxes in the garage and lattice around the air conditioning unit for access, but was very gracious about that inconvenience. His cost was less than expected. I am very happy and more importantly the air conditioning is working great again. more

I had my A/C units serviced in preparation for summer I selected Hutchinson from the list of providers because they had the most positive reviews were local to me and offered a special. They said they could be there today between 5 pm and 6 pm. They arrived at 5:30pm. They cleaned and checked each A/C unit my thermostats and electrical at the breaker box. I am pleased with the service I received. more

Company responded to my request for service on the same day request was made. An appointment was scheduled for the next day. Technician Eric called 20 minutes ahead of time to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived within the scheduled time. Technician was friendly and professional at all times. He did a very thorough job, cleaned up after himself and left everything as he found it. After he was finished, he explained what he did. I was very impressed by the quality of his work. I definitely will recommend the company to others. I will call them again as needed. more

Called Hutchinson Heating & Air after a horrible experience with a previous contractor. Orlando came out the same day and diagnosed and fixed the issues. The previous contractor had replaced the 2nd floor AC unit capacitor with the incorrect size and wired it in backwards. The fan was rotating backwards when it turned at all. The unit was not producing cold air and was making horrible noises. Orlando changed the capacitor, rewired the unit, topped off the Freon, and did a tune-up on both AC units. He explained everything he found and fixed. The unit is much quieter now and actually produces cold air! I will be using Hutchinson Heating & Air for yearly tune-ups from now on. more
