It's not fried chicken from The South as they pretend, but it's good. The biscuits were dry so I'd stick with KFC, but the drumstick was tasty enough. Metered street parking available. more

This is the best fried chicken and biscuits EVER! 2/16/2010

do NOT order by phone. they don't begin making your food until after you get there, wait in line, and then pay, so it saves you zero time. and they aren't competent enough to get an order correct over the phone anyway. So, while you're waiting, you'll look at your bill, realize they're making the wrong thing, and have to start all over again. more

I went with my wife today for the first time. Was a recommendation from a certain someone over at Good Day LA (Fox) for being ""great food"". I eat out at a lot of restaurants ($ to $$$) and being a Foodie of sorts I have a habit of noticing all the little things that make me want to come back or never return to an establishment. With that said I had to put down a bet that Honey's Kettle will be gone/out of biz by summer '09. Pros: Sunday football was showing on their nice big LCD Cons: too many to list here - see review more

With that said I had to put down a bet that Honey's Kettle will be gone/out of biz by summer '09. OMG, where do I begin? Dirty floors and tables...staff must be "too busy" to wipe and sweep and take out the overflowing trashcan. Staff must have been too stoned to care about service or our experience. Honey, please get rid of them all and get a group with some ENERGY who are helpful and glad to see a paying customer. Food took soooooooo long to get....20 mins and then I had to return my wife's $9 chicken and rice bowl b/c it was just so subpar. Seriously, I have had a better chicken sandwich from McDonalds and Chick Filet. Most mall food is much better than this should be "hole in the wall". Pros: Sunday football was showing on their nice big LCD Cons: too many to list here - see review more

Average tasting fried chicken 3/9/2008

I find this place to be the total opposite of what everyone says. The service is ok, but the chicken was far from tasty; it's average at best. Popeyes and KFC are a lot better. However, I think the biscuits were some of the best I have ever had. more

Service needs some serious improvement 2/22/2008

I have only had the biscuits here so I can't comment on the greasy chicken that so many folks have talked about. The chicken looked like Pioneer's so I was having no parts of it. But the biscuits are THA BOMB! I will drive all the way to Compton for the biscuits and get some chicken from Louisana. Pros: Biscuits!! Cons: Service is so tacky and unprofessional. And they have the nerve to be stingy with the honey! more
