Bay new car buying experience - lots of fees used to pad price 3/5/2009

I have just returned from Honda Village where I had a bad experience. My lease is up in 6 days, so I need a car! I've got perfect credit, I bought from them last time, I'm a professional in the local area - you would think I'd be the customer they would like to keep! Pros: close to my home in Newton Cons: Small, not may cars on-site, see review for shady tactics and too many fees added in more

Bay new car buying experience - lots of fees used to pad price 3/4/2009

I have just returned from Honda Village where I had a bad experience. My lease is up in 6 days, so I need a car! I've got perfect credit, I bought from them last time, I'm a professional in the local area - you would think I'd be the customer they would like to keep! First problem. The young salesman refused to tell me the selling price of the car! This came after we had looked at the car, the colors, the trim levels, the options, and he had filled out a big form with my contact information, etc. When we got to talking about price, all he would show me was the "special offers" the dealer had, which listed only the monthly payment, and no price. The salesman said "what does the price matter? All you should be concerned about is the lease payment". Even with my repeated requests he told me it "Doesn't matter what the price is, the dealer can always add fees and other costs". Eventually, another man, whom the first salesman said was the sales manager, gave me the details of the price, wich included several large fees. I felt like I was not being treated fairly, the price seemed to be padded with fees, and that Village Honda was jerking me around. Next problem: I went back, and the first guy was gone. I told the new guy I want to go over the price offer they made two days ago. He starts filling out the entire long contact form again. I objected, saying I had already done the whole thing, didn't he have the form I completed 2 days ago? He says no, it was shredded. I asked please, can we skip some of this and get to the price? I just want to close the deal and buy the car! Let's talk a bit about the price, and if it's good, I'll give you all the information you need and more! But, if the price is no good, I don't want to waste another 45 minutes doing paperwork just to hear a price that's not competitive. He could not accommodate me. I walked out. Honda Village pads their prices and won?t talk to you straight. Pros: close to my home in Newton Cons: Small, not may cars on-site, see review for shady tactics and too many fees added in more

Worst Customer Service -- the staff are all a**holes 11/14/2007

Hi have a huge complaint letter that I wrote to the General Manager of Honda Village (her name is Christine Caron, fyi), but that is too long to paste here. Cons: dishonest, mean, rude, won't return $2000 deposit more

Worst Customer Service -- the staff are all a**holes 11/13/2007

Hi have a huge complaint letter that I wrote to the General Manager of Honda Village (her name is Christine Caron, fyi), but that is too long to paste here. In short, when I decided (fully within my rights) to withdraw my deposit because they weren't meeting my terms and because I could already sense their customer service was going south, the gloves came off. They jerked me around for 20 minutes refusing to write me a written receipt for *$2000 dollars* for my deposit refund. They had a good joke about it in the sales office, and when I knocked on the door to see if they were working on my receipt, after asking them for it 3 times, the sales person snapped back at me rudely, saying that he was working on it and that he was "busy." When I walked away, I heard one of the other sales man say to him, "You should write slower." That's when I lost it, turned around, yelled at them in the office, and gave them the finger. Edwin came out and threatened to call the police. Excuse me, you're the one who's refusing to give me a written receipt for my $2000 dollars, jerking me around and having a good time with it, and you're going to call the police on "ME"? When threatened with calling the Better Biz Bureau, they couldn't care less. When the guy finally tossed me my receipt, he said that working with me was "a waste of time." I was told to leave through the side door. That's some customer service. I think they should all be fired. Also check dealerrater[dot]com to see that they have written themselves fraudulent positive reviews. Take your business elsewhere. These guys will take you for all you are worth. Crooks. Pros: none Cons: dishonest, mean, rude, won't return $2000 deposit more

A terribel palce with the worst customer service possible 8/17/2007

I went there to see what deels they have and ended up signing a lease contract I could not get out of without even realizing it. They took advantage of the fact that I am a girl and I do not speak English that well. Do not go there at all! Cons: they are criminals!!! Beware more

Bad service, too expensive 7/23/2007

Had an A/C problem that my normal mechanic couldn't figure out. I resorted to the dealership. They charged me $90 just to look at the car, called me after looking at my car for only 15 minutes and said they couldnt identify the problem but would replace the largest part (for $1200) and thought that might do it. In the end, I took my car back, found a good mechanic who found the problem and fixed the A/C for $100. The dealership is a rip-off. more
