High marks. I will use the service again. It is also located conveniently to my address.

Price changed by over $200 upon questioning if it was correct the first time. Service rep called back to correct it. New tires were supposed to be installed on the front, but...

Their estimate to $2500, fixed it elsewhere $50. 2/1/2017

If I could rate this place in negative stars I would Jan 2017 I had my car towed to Honda of Burien because it wouldn't start. Miraculously it started right up in their parking lot and they drove it into their shop. After checking it out (for a preapproved fee), their estimate to fix it was $2500, (more than the value of the car). When I elected to refuse repair, they added on another charge and said it no longer would start. I had it towed somewhere else where it was fixed for $50. That's right $50. more

They don't follow through and also don't keep their word 10/18/2013

I went to Honda of Burien several months ago, looking for a car. They talked a good talk and were going to find my car for me. I never heard from them, again. A month later, I was still looking and thought I'd stop in to check. They, again, promised to get back to me and didn't. THEN, here's the truly annoying part; I gave them my phone number and email address, with the promise that I would not be put on a solicitation list. They lied. I have been inundated with emails and phone calls, even after I talked with management, their IT person, the head of sales and the marketing person. They each promised to quit sending emails. FINALLY the emails stopped. NOW I get phone calls from some company that Raidon's hires to nag people into coming in. There's a reason that they have to beg for customers. Run from this place and go to Renton Honda or Lynnwood Honda- they totally outshine the Burien dealership in EVERY way - especially keeping their promises. HOWEVER, back when I did get my car serviced there, the Service Dept. was great. Now, I won’t be returning – ever. more

Poor Customer Service 1/5/2011

I have my 99 Odyssey service on Dec/27/2010. They replace the rear door actuator, passenger side slide door actuator, the passenger side door cylinder; remove the instrument cluster to fix the speedometer. I told them since the instrument cluster is removed out of the car please replace the instrument bulb too. They did so but at the end the double charge me on the labor of remove the cluster. After I talk to other Service Manager (Josh) he agrees to remove the double charge. Here is the problem, once they works on the passenger side slide door the car start to rattle time to time depend on the road surface. I told Kathy (the original service manager) I never have the problem before and she told me how I know. Dude... what the heck is that? She took a test drive and agree the problem is there but told me that they will open up the door and I will have to pay if the problem is not relate to their work. Heck, how in the hell do I know they will tell me the truth after she try to double charge me on the labor of remove the instrument cluster! I would give them a 4 ½ stars for the work of there technician but I give them 1 star due to the poor customer service. more

Mediocre customer service 10/15/2010

We purchased a used car from Burien Honda over the summer. Prior to the sale, we asked the salesman about some of our concerns with the vehicle and were taken to speak with the service manager (turns out he was not the service manager, only a service advisor). We were told the vehicle had been serviced thoroughly after it was traded in a month or so earlier and that we could be assured the vehicle was given a good review prior to being offered for sale. After we purchased the vehicle, our mechanic informed us the vehicle had not been serviced as advertised. We wrote a letter of complaint to the dealership and Burien Honda did respond (they do deserve credit for responding). They agreed to address most of the issues we had with the vehicle and didn't charge us for the work. I learned later, however, that the work they performed wasn't top-quality work, they did just enough to address the issues but didn't do all that they should have to prevent more costly repairs down the line. Two examples: they replaced the rear brakes but didn't turn the rotors; we'll likely have to buy new rotors (which aren't cheap) when we next replace the brakes. They also didn't drain and flush the transmission fluid as Honda recommends, they just drained some of the fluid and replaced it with new fluid (what they did only replaced about 30 to 40 percent of the dirty fluid in the transmission). We ended up having to pay to have the transmission serviced properly and we have been left doubting the quality and integrity of their dealership. I'm grateful they responded to our complaint and that they performed work for free. I'm frustrated, though, that they didn't do a thorough job and this will likely cost me additional money down the road. They also never followed up to see if we were satisfied. Overall, their customer service leaves a good deal to be desired and I'd never feel good about buying from the again or recommending them to friends & family. more

Poor customer service 7/13/2010

Unable to resolve problems efficiently. You may need to return several times for the same problem. Distance themselves from Honda by stating they are an independent dealer. Have an attitude about warranty work if you did not purchase the vehicle from them. more

i received great service 5/1/2009

i bought my car there and it was great (sales rep Ed Oliver). then i accidentally got a little tear in my tire, so i went down to get it checked out by their service people. they were super friendly: even showed me how to change my tire (ok, it's my first car ;). the guy had been working there for over 20 years and said that the tire was going to be fine but moved it to the rear to be safe and then rotated my tires and washed my car -- all for free! kathy at the desk is super nice. she'll take care of you and is very knowledgeable. her family owns burien honda and they really care about customer service and making sure you walk away happy. in summary, i have had great experiences with buying and servicing my honda at this dealership and would recommend it to anyone else who would be willing to go a little out of their way (from Seattle). more

Fantastic buying experience! 1/17/2009

Good: best deal (upfront pricing!); fast & efficient, but thorough; no pressure, laid-back, friendly. Bad: smaller in-stock inventory (not a con for me b/c I factory ordered), 11 miles from downtown. Improvements: none really. more

Burien Honda Has Best Service Dept of Honda Dealers in Puget Sound 9/6/2006

I've been around to a lot of the Honda dealers for various services (Bellevue, Seattle, Renton, Lynnwood, Hinshaw's, and Burien.) The only ones that come to the top are Hinshaws and Burien. I've only gotten parts at Hinshaws, so I can't quite compare here. Burien Honda got my CRV's broken window motor fixed in quick order. They did mess up the diagnosis at first, but corrected themselves (unfortunately not in my favor...) Because of this, they discounted the labor costs for the service in return (and no, it didn't take less time...) The front counter folks were delightful, there was water, coffee, snacks, a TV, AND free USA Today papers in the waiting room. The kicker? FREE loaner cars. Renton Honda makes you get a rental that they pay for, but that still requires you to sign up with YOUR credit card in case something happens. Phooey on that! Burien Honda may be a dealer and may charge more than a local shop, but if you have a fairly unique problem that needs a quick resolution, coming here is a good bet. more

Horrible...Worst Service 8/25/2005

If you want to buy a car don't come here. The people try to push cars that they don't want on to you and won’t give you any deals. I knew exactly what I wanted when I came to this place, a 2005 Honda Pilot in Black. However, if I knew exactly what I wanted and had the cash in had to buy it why can’t I just do just that? I was dragged across the lot to other cars that I didn’t want and sat around while my sales rep left me and helped other customers when he said he was going to talk to the manager about getting me a deal. I was so frustrated here and ended up wasting 3 hours of my time. more

Disappointed 8/19/2005

I love Hondas, and have owned two of them. Overall, sadly, my experience at the dealership was not good. I got stuck with an incompetent salesman trying to sell me things I didn’t want. He wouldn’t listen and I finally just got fed up. I don’t understand why people in sales are the worst at listening. FRUSTRATING! more

Great customer service in service dept 8/16/2005

We live in issaquah and take our honda all the way over to Burien honda. They are much nicer than the Bellevue honda service dept. They give free loaner cars, even for oil changes, so you can drop your car off in the morning and take a loaner in. Bellevue wanted me to spend $100 to adjust my parking brake, Burien did it free with my oil change. I have never bought a car from them, but I would consider it because of the satisfaction I have gotten from their service department. Service prices are a lot cheaper than Bellevue honda. more

Cheap, Quick Oil Change 8/16/2005

I own a Honda CRV, and oil changes are tricky - since there is an oil pan that, if not properly rinsed and cleaned, drips oil at random. In general, I don't like to go to dealerships because they are more expensive and often take longer to get appointments. Burien Honda is an exception. Their staff was very friendly and efficient, their prices are excellent, and they have been able to fit me in at the last minute for an oil change and other minor repairs. I recommend them wholeheartedly - and even think they're worth a short trip down 99 and 509 South! more
