Homeland

Sold me rancid fish 6 or 7 times. It was so bad that the person behind the counter had to know it was rancid and sold it to me anyway. Their meat goes bad in a couple days from buying it. I think the meat in butcher area (near fish), is the bad meat they are hiding with a ton of seasoning to sell it. I will never ever be going back again. EVER more

Living in the country, between two small towns, there are not too many places to grocery shop. In Pryor, there are a few stores, Wal Mart of course, and Homeland. The Homeland store usually has higher prices than Wal Mart, but often has in specials if you have a Homeland card. The store is a lot smaller than Wal Mart and has more of that hometown friendliness. The stores are clean and orderly. The meat and vegetables always look fresh and there is a good variety. Because it is on the main street thru town, it's easy to get in and out of the parking lot. As I mentioned the groceries are usually higher at Homeland, but they also double coupons up to a $1. I am a coupon cutter and often go in with a stack. Last week while shopping, my groceries added up to $62.45. After knocking off $4.66 for in store specials and handing them $9.35 in coupons, which they doubled, I saved a total of $23.36 and cut my bill to $39.09. Living with a tight budget, I go where the savings are. If you see me with a handful of coupons, you can bet I'm heading for Homeland. more
