This is place is downright dangerous. We took a few things over for a fluff and fold, being prudent we took our own soap. The clothes were returned on time (soap untouched) with the most vile stench ever. Seems the horror that has ruined so many lives and careers - static cling, induced them to use some kind of inhuman dryer sheet. I assume it is a dryer sheet, but the effects transcend even the evil world of bounce and downey - three washings and it is still all over the clothes. It saturated the house, the innocent clothes and our skin. Getting rid of it is a battle we will never win, I urge you to avoid this place. The fact that they would put this kind of allergy producing industrial waste product on good clothes without getting explicit permission first is immoral, unethical and possible criminal - should I loose my mind from the experience. This place is terrible and destroys the material of your clothes. They use harsh chemicals which ruins the fabric. I would never go to this place again. They are completely overpriced and the service is bad. I brought a dress and spent $15 getting it cleaned and pressed and when I picked it up it smelled as bad as when I had brought it in and was completely wrinkled. It looked as though they just hung it on a hanger and put plastic over it. I brought some sweaters and none of the stains were removed and I could have easily taken some water and washed the stain away in my sink. This place is a joke and a waste of money. AVOID!!! Hollyway cleaners i am so happy at you , i came in last two weeks with my girlfriend, and we had been to a club and spilt a margerita on my red dolce gabana dress. I gave my dress to my girlfriend and she came in and asked to see the manager. The manager reassured us that if we gave him a release he would WET CLEAN it in a watery solution. I didnt know what he meant, but just the way he reassured us i felt comfortable. Pros: Excellent removing stains Cons: Sometimes long lines but they are worth it more

I am a movie producer and let me tell you this place is god send. You can go in on a Saturday and get your clothes back on sunday. In my business everyone uses this place. No agent in hollywood, no talent agent, or producer can survive without the brilliant hours of this place. They are open till midnite most nights and open at 6 am . I see all my friends from CAA, Endeavor and CMA there. It is definately a meeting spot in LA. Very enertainment oriented clientele, which i like. Stay away. There is something very very wrong with man who owns this place. I was a long long-term customer at this dry cleaners, and I would sometimes see Kareem going off on people, and I more or less ignored it since he and I had a good relationship. But, when, among other problems, the tailor messed up badly ... twice... on an alteration and I needed to have it corrected, I felt the wrath of Kareem on me. It was like someone going absolutely out of their mind... it's awful. Extermely disturbing to have someone ranting like a lunatic at you. And I will never again walk though those doors. more

I must respond to the most recent review, as I am one of the employees, and was standing right there when this customer came in. First, the employees are not high school students, they are college students. The fact that they were laughing and enjoying a day at work can only be a compliment to that environment. When this customer came in, already in a bad mood, he thought they were laughing at him. Obviously his size has caused him some trauma throughout his life, and feels it necessary to blame others for his lack of control at the dinner table. His tone and extreme bad language was so over the top, I thought the police might need to be called. I can promise you that the lives of the employees that work here are not so small that their only enjoyment might come from making fun of an overweight customer, and the size of his underwear. I have been a loyal customer of Hollyway Cleaners since the early 1970's, long before Kareem and his Dad owned it. In my opinion they have become too big to care about what the discourteous high school kids working the counter are doing. It's become a joke. They are always laughing and playing around with each other. They pay very little attention to the customers and even insult the customers or make the customers uncomfortable. I will NOT be going back. I was insulted and made to feel foolish for the last time. Kareem justifies their unprofessional work ethic by saying ""They are just kids and don't know any better."" I am certain they work cheap, but that's no excuse for their behavior towards paying customers. Yes, Hollyway is in a convenient location with a parking lot. Yes, Hollyway keeps longer than normal hours which is advantageous. But...if I have to deal with smart-mouthed punks behind the counter...I'm going elsewhere. There are too many other dry cleaners in the West Hollywood area to put up with this atrocious, intolerant conduct. I would have written this review earlier, but I didn't realize this dry cleaner was on this site. My boyfriend used to go to them all the time because of his strange hours and the fact that they're open until midnight. We once put his tux in for dry cleaning before 9am one morning for same day cleaning and said that we would pick up the suit at 5:30pm since we had a last minute event to go to that night. We specifically asked whether this would be possible and said that if it's not, we would take it somewhere else. We were assured that it would be clean. Well, we returned at 5:30pm and the suit was nowhere to be found. They didn't have a record of us coming in in their computers, they didn't have the bag with the clothes in it, and they couldn't find it anywhere. We were completely appalled and left hurriedly to go rent a tux before all the stores closed at 6pm. I then got a call from the cleaners as we were renting my boyfriend's tux and we were told that there was no way they could have cleaned the tux in one day and that it was our fault for leaving it with them. They said they found the bag that the clothes were in under a pile of other bags that were going to get cleaned on the following Monday (2 days later). Suffice to say, we were shocked at this change of policy, especially since it was obvious they were lying because they run the machines every day. I used to go to Hollyway Cleaners all the time until I started having one problem after another. First and foremost, the prices changed on the same outfit. I don't care what they charge but it should be the same price week after week, for the same outfit! This happened on numerous occasions and the manager was always SO rude and would try to tell me it wasn't the same blouse, skirt........I would walk in the door in the morning and stand there until someone would acknowledge me. The girls would all be standing around, just staring while I would be waiting. The manager had such a chip on his shoulder and I heard him repeatedly telling customers that they were, ""bringing in over a million dollars every year."" Who does that??? hollyway cleaners has very good customer services.I have been going there for 5 years already!!!!! Everytime i go there the girls in the morning are always nices, and they now what there doing! what i like the most is that they always greet you in the mornings they make your day start with a good vibe.Now about the morning asian manager is a good person i always see him busy and he has every good customer services and so one day i asked him if he could take care of my clothes and sure enough his been taking care of my clothes and he dose a good job no never had any problems with him every nices man. The most importent thing is that if your clothes have a very bad stain he always lets you no that there is no guarantees for the stain or stains to come out and that he is going to try his best to make it come out. more

I understand why this cleaners got best of city search , for best dry cleaners, it is truly AMAZING!. Me and my boyfriend, or other half for all you straight folks, have been going to this place for a short time. We lived in San Francisco before and all the dry cleaners there sucked. This Cleaning Facility has more complaints than folks complaining about the war and the President! Get him to do the RIGHT thing and demand what is owed to all and to avoid and deflect all future problems for exsisting and future customers if he will get any. His referral biz hopefully is bismal and will be if people read the rights things, take into account of all his complaints and finally take initiative to complaining to the right people in order to force him to be ethical. Hopefully you will be inspired to post on City Search, Yelp, the Better Biz Co, CA home page and your local Ombudsman so this establishment is forced to attain some customer service skills and pay for their wrong doing. The owner Kareem is a liar and nothing but shady McShade. Stay Far, Far Away from this cleaning crazyhouse! This guy is a joke and will not pay to repair anything he ruins, loses, destroys, etc. Steer clear of this cleaner and head to Magnolia, Four Seasons, ANYWHERE but here. You must believe the negative reviews, as they are not posted for being malicious they are here to make customers aware of this awful establishment. If it hasn't happened to you yet here, trust me it will. I was a loyal customer for years until he treated me with such poor customer service i had to report him on many accounts. Beware of Hollyway Cleaners because sooner or later you will get taken for a ride by this guy but if you don't care about your clothing then continue to go to Hollyway if you choose but you are certainly playing rusian roulette. The staff is very knowledgeable, personable and so friendly. They bend over backwards to give you excellent customer service. I have been going there for 10 years and I would never go anywhere else. more

Lying, Deceitful, High, Strung-out, Atrocious behavior and someone needs to set Kareem straight quickly or work against him by using another cleaner in West Hollywood. Trust me, sooner rather than later you will have something lost, ruined, ripped or stained and he will respond with ?let me try to fix it? and won?t, tell you ?it?s your fault because he didn?t check you in and physically see the item?, ask you to produce a receipt and then tell you he will only reimburse you?if you even get to that point by only 25% of the value or tell you how does he know you didn?t create this receipt, he will also say it?s for another item you purchased not this item? Can you say Shyster? He also seems to think if he puts you off long enough you will go away which of course is asinine but then again, if a spade is a spade. Steer clear of this cleaner and head to one a block or 2 up the street as there are so many more friendly, customer service driven, ethical and better quality establishments to choose from in West Hollywood why waste your energy, money and time on this on?
