Hisui Japanese Restaurant

Just went there with my 10 year old son for a "father-son" sushi lunch. After waiting for seats at the sushi bar to open we finally sat down and the waitress brought our drinks. The place was packed and the only things we were able to get was one little plate of endamme and two pieces of unagi. There were only two sushi chefs and despite every seat at the bar being filled AND the little boats going around totally empty, they were busy making rolls for customers seated at the tables. When the sushi chefs would finally manage to put something out it wouldn't make it around to where we were. Couldn't ask them to make something because they were too busy. Finally after about 20 minutes of staring at empty little boats I told the waitress we were ready to leave. We were charged full price $12.95 each for one little plate of endamme and two pieces of unagi. I told the owner and she said she would make it up to me next time. 13 bucks for about 15 endamme pods and 13 bucks for two pieces of unagi and you'll make it up to me "next time"? What about not charging me $26 THIS time. Incomprehensible business practice. Pros: ??? Cons: No value for money more

It bad Japanese food there, these steak taste over cooked, the shshi roll tasted very watery, it seems like left from over night, the price so expensive, It is not worth it. The most customer most go one time only. They try ripped it off . Do not go back there . more

Hisui is my favorite restaurant in Vacaville! The service is great, there are a wide variety of seating options and even the pickiest eater can find something they will enjoy on the menu! My favorite is the all you can eat sushi boats. The sushi is always fresh and the sushi chefs give excellent service, especially Jack! If you don't see what you like on the boats, you can order a wide variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, gyoza, yakatori, etc... The price for all you can eat sushi is very reasonable. I could eat there everyday! The hibachi is also excellent. It's a favorite of my family, especially on birthdays. Hisui offers a free meal if you dine in on your birthday. I have no idea what the other reviewer was talking about in his review...don't believe it! Hisui is an excellent restaurant with excellent service! Pros: All you can eat sushi boats, hibachi, and sushi bar--happy hour half price special rolls! Cons: None more

We went here for Father's Day and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The waitperson was very friendly and our cook, although new in staff was very personable and a great cook. We love the peformance part of the cook. He was very helpful when it came to my dad's special needs (i.e. no salt, soy sauce, etc.) and for me no shrimp. He made sure to clean the grill before adding new ingredients so the shrimp doesn't touch my food. The only cons was the waiting part. We waited in our table for about an hour, but at least we can watch other tables w/ their cooks performance as we waited but after seeing everyone do their on thing we already new what to expect from our cook. But it was special anyway. It is very expensive so expect a big check afterwards but it was worth every penny. more
