GREAT vintage, helpful staff. 7/14/2010

The Hip Zipper is my absolute favorite place to shop in Nashville. I almost always find several things I can't live without! If I need a new party dress, a summer wrap skirt, white stilettos, a navy clutch, vintage dead stock Nashville keychain, or a salmon slip, I know where I can find them! Trisha and the other staff members are very helpful and Trisha is always very excited to pull out some new arrivals for me to try on. The woman knows her vintage! They also keep all different sizes, which is fantastic for those of us who aren't used to being able to find vintage pieces that fit. I LOVE this store. Pros: lots of items to chose from, affordable prices, free bin more

awesome vintage, great service 11/28/2009

Hip Zipper has amazing affordable vintage wear for ladies and guys. Anytime I need something special to wear, I find it here. And the owner is so helpful- when I had a friend in town she handed us a complete list of vintage stores in Nashville! more

Hip Zipper? Major disappointment 8/18/2008

Ok, I will give the woman a slight break because she may not have a degree in Fashion Merchandising and may not have worked in major Department Stores all over the country like I have, but I learned about Customer Service when I was 16 years old. The fact that the owner of the store did not even speak to me the entire 20 minutes that I was in her store was more of a turn-off than the fact I found nothing that I would even consider purchasing. I am a HUGE fan of vintage anything and I could not find a single item that I would buy. I might have had she not been so rude. Pros: only place in the area Cons: everything else more

DO NOT MISS OUT! 5/25/2004

The Hip Zipper is the only store in the area that carries classic, quality vintage clothing from the 30's to the 70's. No dirty thrift store stuff; cool western shirts (only $22), hundreds of men's shirts, fabulous ties and suits, shoes, hats, racks and racks of dresses ($16-40 max.), beach party-esque bathing and play suits, and the huge selection of spike heels, all only $20. Cannot forget all of the 40's, 50's and 60's furniture from chrome/formica dinette sets, clean-lined wooden tables and a huge selection of lamps. There is also a huge selection of hand-made one of a kind vintage jewelry, a plethora of purses, belts, glasses (for your eyes), glasses for drinking, and the coolest ashtrays around. Pros: Plenty of Parking, Inexpensive, New inventory daily more
