Hilton Hospital for Animals

This "business" cares more about money than animals. They gouge desperate people when they know there's no chance to save the animal. They are all about the money. Stay away more

We first visited Hilton Animal Hospital two years ago when we first got our dog. There was a problem with the fecal test and we kept receiving letters in the mail saying she was not up to date on the test. But the vet kept reassuring us that everything was fine. Last year during our routine visit they did not suggest a fecal test. They did not suggest it this year either but she needed a good fecal to enroll in a class so we had it done. It turns out she has giardia. For the past two years our dog has had regular diarrhea and Hilton Animal Hospital said nothing was wrong with her. It turns out that the two years of diarrhea was from the giardia that they did not catch the first time. On top of it all when she was rechecked after the giardia treatment it was found that she has another parasite. The vet is trying to tell us that despite two years of taking her to the dog park and taking her on hikes, she acquired this parasite in the week that she was on medication, the week we more

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Dr. Strom and his staff are. There is no limit to what they will do for the care of your animals and for me personally , I recently went through a major ordeal that myself and my animals were affected. My animals were sick and needed a place to stay while I had to get my affairs in order and i was told no worries they will be fine and we will take care of them ,and that is exactly what Hilton Animal Hospital and Dr. Strom did above and beyond without hesitation. My animals were treated for severe situations and every time something occured it was dealt with and as always , I was re-assured because of where they were and who was taking care of them. They pulled through and you all even pulled me through as well . I thank you and your staff for making a tough time less stressful , for finding my babies a home and myself as well and the continuing concern and care you give as professionals and as the wonderful individuals that you are. more

Dr. Reda is wonderful! He's so caring and gentle to both patient and their family. He absolutely loves being a Vet and it shows. He's highly professional and personable all wrapped up in one. If I could give 10 stars I'd do so! more

We have had 2 positive experiences with Hilton Hospital and I would strongly recommend this place to everyone! The staff is caring and knowledgable and the Dr.'s are nice and take their time to exam all the animals. It smells really nice in there and we are very happy with the service and care. more

I have a great passion for animals to the point of risking a long-time marriage. Still happily married, I am the proud mommy of five furry children named Ben, Jerry, Zoe, Simon, and Tyler. Dr. Jeffrey Strom is a thorough, smart, and most caring and professional vet. He exhausts all possibilities, examines and assesses results as well as determines the outcome. I entertain a wonderful relationship with Dr. Strom as well as his dedicated and professional staff.I appreciate your honesty and compassion for our furry children THANKS <3 more

I drop the cat off in the morning. When I arrive I make sure everything is very clear the receptionist tells me the fee is ($300) for the ultra sound. Got it. I was also told that they will not do anything else until I approve it. Well they call me and tell me she is ready for discharge so I go and pick her up and the vet found a mass and they are going to try a steroid shot to gauge her reaction so I approve the injection ($23). So I am thinking total ($325) then he tells me they aspirated the mass and are sending it off for cytology. This was done without my consent ($192.50) if they called me as they promised I would have authorized these tests. When they are ready to take payment the bill comes to ($515.50) well I questioned how they are going to charge me for something I have not authorized. The vet tells me that they do not have time to call customers back so they make a decision based on the best interests of the animal and they will eat the cost of the tests since I didn’t authorize them. Then he tells me when the results come in he will not tell me the results. Mind you the vet who told me this owns the practice! Doesn’t that sound like the best interest of the animal is being taken into account? It sounds like the best interest of the animal is being used to extort charges I did not authorize with no regard for the interest of the animal. Pros: nothing i can think off Cons: everything more

My pet was very sick, and it was near the holidays. The staff was great and helped me get financing without interest so I could take care of Brownie and still get my family Christmas presents. They explained that if I would not get credit from their finance company than they could not personally give me credit. That made sense with so many banks going out of business from bad debts. \r Brownie did great, they saved her and my Christmas. more

We took our dog here after seeing many other Vets in the area, the Dr. finally got the diagnosis. He even stayed with my dog overnight after a very dangerous surgery. Another hospital quoted me over $6000.00 for the surgery and treatment and Hilton did the same surgery for less than 1/3 the amount. The staff was compasionate and the hospital was clean. I'll never go anywhere else. more

My previous vet was Central Vet.in Valley Stream and I was so unhappy with them because all they can think about was money and I mean they try to rip you off. I looked up Hilton Hospital and it is a bit of a drive from my home but was worth a try to take my dog there, I was more than happy with the service I received , the doctor spent a lot of time with my dog and the fees was reasonable and he did not give me any unecessary charges. The staff is nice and friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend them.\r \r Happy Customer! more

I have 4 pets and for years the entire staff at this hospital has been amazing. I would never go anywhere else or trust any other hospital to care for my beloved pets. They are experts in all areas of animal care and reasonable and accomodating. more

My dog loved to go to the vet. You could actually say "Want to go to the vet" and he would run to the front door and wait for you to catch up. We adopted Midnight from the hilton Animal Hospital after our previous dog had to be put down. He was an abused dog when they received him and had to be put on IVs for several days, they didn't know if he would make it. That is just like this vet they wont give up until they know there is nothing more to be done. We would board Midnight at the vet when family vacations were taken. They take all the dogs outside for walks several times a day although there is a slight fee for this extra service. Midnight would always enjoy going to the vet. When Midnight collapsed at home we called the vet and they offered to send someone to help carry the 90+ pound dog to get him to the vet. Putting him down was one of the hardest things I have done but the staff there was great in assisting in that final decision. They sat with me and gave me hugs as I cried. T more

i ve been going ther there for 12 years , i had alot of cats alot i had to put to sleep they were so sweet ond dr even cryed .and when my cat was so so sick and had to go every outher day they dident charge me for everything they could have i love tham and will never stop going chyrel rizzuto more

Hilton Animal Hospital is the best place on Long Island to bring your pets for routine or even emergency visits. All of the vets at Hilton treat people and animals with utmost respect and care. I live 150 feet from a local animal hospital, but drive 20 minutes to see the vets at Hilton. Their prices are reasonable, their staff is friendly, and someone is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The vets at this hospital are the best on this planet!
