Horribly unprofessional!!!. I completely agree. I went in to Hilltop Vacuums Plus to pick up my Simplicity vacuum which had been brought in for repair a week earlier. I thought at first the owner Mark Oachs was ignoring me but soon realized he wanted to be alone with me. I overheard Mark saying he was staying there just long enough to wait on me. Two customers came in to the store after me and he waited on both of them first and got them out of his store. Then Mark went into the back of the store. I should have left but didn't. I waited several minutes and Ross went outside. Then the owner Mark came to the front and the questions began...'How often do you get to Mankato?...Could we have coffee together sometime?...Where do you work?"". I was completely disgusted and horrified by these completely inappropriate questions and let him know which made him very agitated. He took the roller out of my vacuum and went into the back of the store. I was not about to go back there with him to try to get that part from him, so i left deciding it would be better to come back and get my vacuum when Mark wasn't there. Later that day when i was sure Mark was gone i went in to get my vacuum again. Ross told me they replaced a bearing. (The reason i brought it in was because the roller was getting extremely hot, i had mentioned this to a 30 year veteran of our fire department and he said it could easily start a fire) I told Ross i was worried it could start a fire and he did not seem to think it was much of a problem because usually what happens is the side of the vacuum melts. My vacuum was under warranty but i was charged for a bearing, a new bag (i put a new one in before bringing it into the store) and i also was charged for cleaning? and a belt? At home i tried the 'repaired' vacuum and incredibly within one minute the roller got extremely hot just like before. I called them, Ross answered and said Mark wanted to talk with me. Mark told me to bring it back because he thought they did not do a good enough job cleaning the bearing. I told Mark i was charged for a new bearing and he said he just wanted me to come back to the store and bring my vacuum. Furthermore while on the phone with him he proceeded to tell me how successful he was, how many vacuums he sells every month and couldn't we have coffee together and talk sometime? He told me to call a day ahead before coming to his store so he could be there for me. Apparantly he thinks i am someone who can easily be had but i find him to be terribly rude, dishonest and horribly unprofessional!!! I can't believe I've had to go through such a horrible experience simply because i wanted my vacuum repaired, and i also encourage everyone else to stay away from this awful man!!!
