I have been an employee of Hill Country Care Providers since it was founded by Jackie Verdoorn... First let me say I happened upon these reviews while surfing the internet and i am touched by the reviews left by previous clients. At HCCP we work from the heart, that is why i have worked for the company SO LONG and wouldnt have it any other way. to address the post by a previous employee... (which my better mind is saying not to...) actually you said it all ,,,, you did speak the truth... and showed your true colors,,anybody that has the heart to take the time and seek out a public forum to spew hateful words,,words of resentment,,, THATS WHY YOU ARE NO LONGER A EMPLOYEE....... and apparently"gossiping" IS your problem... At Hill Country Care Providers we ONLY hire word of mouth employees ,, meaning friends or family members of standing employees, EVERYONE is ran through a criminal background,, And 99% of our clients are repeat, word of mouth, friends or family members of previous or current clients. It is truly an honor to provide care for families at their most difficult time. Where do I start.. before my experience with Hill Country Care Providers and especially Jackie Verdoorn I wasn't sure that angles really existed. After Jackie and her staff took over my mothers care I was positive that I had been in the company of angles and they were wearing Hill Country name badges. I am so grateful for the experience and I rest easy now knowing my mothers last days were as comfortable and loving as she expected. "To those who are given much ... much is expected." The care given to someone you love in need of these services meets the highest of expectations. I believe this company was founded on giving their best in the healthcare industry to the ones who could benefit the most by giving them the highest quality of life for each individual they treat. This company was responsible for my Uncle's care when he was living at The Heritage. When the time came, we asked for them to assess his situation and put in place things that would benefit his life the most during this difficult time. One who has been through this knows what it takes to help a family in crisis. It is with absolute professional responsibility this company takes command of and works closely in contact with the family and client. It is an open door policy and works hand in hand to be in sink with one another in order for it to be a successful endeavor. They maintain a well balanced re-pore with their staff in order to fulfill the needs of their clients and family as well as the standards she sets for this company. Things are always changing in this field and there is a need to find ways of improving this company and constantly raising the bar. Her reputation is on the line behind each patients care as they are hers to oversee. It is also their goal to always employ the most qualified people within her company. They are her reflection and her ethics reflect that. There is more overwhelming proof that we live in a time that it is essential to have home health care. The growth of this business continues as so many more people are in need of this type of care. Many of their patients are by referrals. I have personally known the owner of Hill Country Care Providers for many years, I know many of her staff and administrators, and both of my parents have been clients. The owner of this firm considers care to be a personal mission, and conducts her business accordingly. She is personally involved in every case and cares for each client as she would her for own family (I saw her care for her parents in their last years). And I know from experience that she expects the same of her staff. more

This company does not treat their employees right..They cannot differentiate between a conscientous employee and an employee that takes advantage of their employer. All they care about is getting paid by their clients. They do not screen their employees correctly and they treat them like children, thinking that every employee is desperate to have a job so therefore they will put up with everything. Bringing things to their attention for action is misconstrued as ""gossip"". They are not concern of issues among the employees and the company. There is no emphasis on client care. Clients are treated only as ""numbers"". This company's concern is only how the CLIENT is able to pay their fees and the high charge they command. In summary this company is completely mismanaged. more
