I recently took a stray cat to HV to check for a microchip as they are right around the corner from me. The women at the counter knew immediately who I was (I had called earlier). They took him back and determined he was not microchipped. They also told me he was neutered (thus he has had shots) and about one year old. They took down my information just in case they found the owner and gave me suggestions on where to post ads. They were extremely helpful and friendly. I have not taken my house cat there, but plan to do so the next time he is in need of a checkup! more

Highly Recommend 4/22/2011

The staff at Hidden Valley are the best! My dogs have received excellent care. When our Jack Russell's kidneys shut down from tainted food in 2007, they treated us with care and compassion. They helped to ease a very sad time for us. Dr. Szabo listens to my concerns and works with me to address problems of 7 year-old english bully. I'm truly fortunate to have these professionals caring for my pets. more

So mad 12/27/2010

I have two dogs that I boarded at Hidden Valley for 7 days. I picked them up today and one had an infection on either side of his mouth by his canine teeth. It looks like it came from a muzzle or something like that which they swear they don't use. When we took him back to show them the blisters, they said it must have just come from a food bowl and made us pay for antibiotics to treat it! They didn't offer any free medication or even admit to fault! You'd think after paying them $371 for a week that they would at least offer to pay for the damage they did to my dog. I should have known better then to go back after both dogs came back with fleas the last time. I have learned my lesson now! more

Excdellent cat care 11/29/2010

My friend recommended this hospital for my cat Amber, when he was deathly ill. Dr. Valeneesi is an excellent vet. She saved Mr. Amber's life. I highly recommend this hospital for your pets. The staff is very caring and friendly. They even put fuzzy mats on the cold metal examining tables for the cats to come out of their carriers onto. Amber was very sick and he had lost 2 !/2 lbs. She ran a zillion tests and did surgery on his mouth. Sent him home with pain meds, antibiotics and appetite stimulant (even special food.) He recovered quite nicely and is back to his normal playful self. For all the work and tests that were done, I felt confident in their ability to cure him and their level of care and concern. Their prices are very reasonable. I'm sure the bill would have been much higher at the hospital I used to take him to. They even let me set up a payment plan for some of the cost, which I gladly honored. more

Best vets in the area and they love my dogs 10/18/2010

I love Hidden Valley Animal Hospital. After many other vet hospitals in Raleigh and the "cold" or "charge me out the wazoo" treatment, I stumbled on HVAH. Dr. Szabo has treated me and my animals with respect and dignity since the first day I set foot in the building. I have always felt comfortable there, and I always feel like my dog(s) are very important and special to him. He listens to me and gives the best care I can imaging, and their prices are more affordable. It is a clean, well maintained business with staff that always welcomes me in the door. Their groomers are the best and my dog always looks amazing when I pick her up. I would give this vet 5 stars and I recommend them all the time. more

The Best Staff EVER!!!!!!!! 10/14/2010

I have been seeing the doctors at Hidden Valley for over 5 years now and have ONLY the most positive comments to make. Dr. Szabo is the VERY best veterinarian and I highly recommend him for any pet needs. He was the most compassionate and understanding doctor with diagnosing my doggie Annie with a brain tumor. When other vets would probably have suggested putting a dog to sleep, Dr. Szabo worked with me to keep my Annie with me for a good year and then it was obviously time for her to make the trip to the Rainbow Bridge. The ENTIRE staff at Hidden Valley is truly family to me. They know me and my current animals by name and are ALWAYS helpful and friendly. I don't care where in the Triangle I may move, I will ALWAYS use the team at Hidden Valley for all my veterinary, boarding and grooming needs. You could not ask for ANY better people!!! And fortunately, there are absolutely no negative comments I can make!!!!!! more

Average at Best 2/10/2010

I have been taking my animals to Hidden Valley for 3 years now, but I do not recommend this place. I am currently in the process of transferring my animals to a new veterinary clinic, after multiple problems with this vet. The staff and doctors mean well here, but they do not make me feel confident in their abilities as doctors at all, particularly in regards to something ans important to me as my pets. The doctors at Hidden Valley sincerely lack listening skills, and tend to believe that the owner is incompetent at pet care, which in my case could not be further from the truth. I cannot help but believe that there are many times that my animals could have avoided unnecessary pain and frustration if the doctors at this vet had LISTENED to my description of a problem, rather than assume they knew what happened. Incredible service for our pets! 6/8/2009

We have been bringing our pets to this vet since we relocated here to NC. Our old vet was like family to us, so we were very concerned about how our animals would be treated here. Thankfully we have had a very positive experience. I absolutely recommend them for your pets. They help take care of your special animals and treat them like their own. more

Terrific care! 1/12/2009

After trying EVERY vet in Raleigh, Hidden Valley is the only vet I will go to now. Dr. Lapham has been our vet for 9 years now . He is very kind, knowledgeable and cares immensely for each pet. He has given the best care to my 12 year old dog! Pros: Caring staff, Knowledgeable, Great service Cons: None! more

24 hours a day... 5/30/2005

As a new dog owner I have been very pleased with the care my dog has recieved from quail corners animla hospital. my favorite part about this vet is that they ahve a number you can call 24 hours a day and speak with an on call employee. Right after my dog got his first shots as a puppy he had a few complications with the shots, and they were there for my frantic phone call at 1 in the morning. They have been great for traditional visits as well. Overall a wonderful vet choice. more
