Terrible service, they refuse to repair under warranty, system fails often, avoid them. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you like being frustrated and deceived. They say they are giving you a 12-year parts and labor warranty on all Heliocol parts in the system. What they don't tell you is that the only Heliocol parts are the solar panels and the connectors that connect them. Everything else is made by other companies so basically 90% of the unit isn't under warranty. The installation of the thermostat was shoddy and when a repairman came out he made it worse. It has never worked properly. They charge $125 to come out to see what's wrong with your system and, unless the problem is with the panel, that doesn't include repairs. They claim to have an office in Las Vegas, but it has no staff. When you call the local number you talk to an office in Phoenix. This is a big investment and it becomes part of your house, so be careful! more

After getting bids from 4 different solar companies in our area, I decided to go with Heliocol because they had a newer type of panel called SunX that is supposed to create more heat than old-style solar pool panels. So far, so good. Our pool is really, really warm and I haven't seen any increase in my utility bills. It was definitely more expensive than the other bids, but you get what you pay for. more

I have had two systems on 2 of my houses. I have no problems with it and the service has been great and professional. I guess you always here from the complainers. My neighbor's Suntrek system looks like rigatoni after the winds just blew it apart. more

Dont give a deposit to these THIEVES!!! Justin came by and measured(wrongly) for a quote. Asked for a deposit to get on the list as they were booked out a few weeks. We gave him $500. Then we were called to let us know they were not booked out that far. We talked to another company (Suntrek) and based on our encounter decided to go with them (they did great, no deposit required). While trying to get our deposit back from Heliocol we were hung up on, have had to call multiple times to get a call back. If the cancelled order is not in writing postmarked in 3 days, they just keep your deposit. The supervisor in the main office in AZ says call Justin, he's the manager for Vegas. Justin (when I finally got ahold of him) says call the AZ office.. Then after lying about the time schedule to get a deposit, says well you could have gave me nothing with a sarcastic tone... He also proceeded to badmouth the other company and come to find out those were lies as well. No services provided, no expense to them except a few bucks of gas money, and they steal $500!!! Something suspicious about a company that has to use all these sneaky tactics. Beware of these guys. Don't make the same mistake we did. I'm filing a complaint with the contractor board. more

I have never dealt with a company so disorganized. I went with their system because it was highly rated but their management is terrible. I waited 7 weeks to finally get it installed while my sales person (and the owner) would never return my calls. They have you call the arizona office that just tells you to call your sales person so you go round and round. They gave me a bid and when they finally came to install it the installer told me it would not work the way they bid it. They are supposed to do pre-install site surveys that no one obviously did. They then spent 2 weeks pointing the finger at one another and trying to get me to pay more money for their laziness. Find another company!!! more
