lost reservation; slow service 12/9/2009

I had scheduled our holiday dept. party at Hayden's well in advance, but when we showed up, there wasn't a reservation for our party. Pros: food was good, but took a long time to get Cons: lost reservation; slow service more

Good Food, Great View, Nice Hotel 7/31/2009

I've been here four times...inside and out next to the lake...Nice friendly people, and good food! Try the dessert sampler...it's a good share for two people and works out cheaper than two desserts. I'd bring anyone here, and there is a hotel attached (With Hot Tub Suites) if you need a little romance with the Mrs. Pros: Lake Front (Man Made) Views and good burgers! Cons: Desserts are too good, not sure which one to pick more

Wonderful Dinner Food and Service 5/5/2009

My wife and I had dinner at Haydens last night and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We have been to Hayden's a number of times and this time it was the best ever - keep up the good work guys - we will be back! Pros: great wine list great food more

Mediocre 5/4/2009

I have to agree with Lynn this place use to be a lot better but I still recomend it but just barly more

Used to be a lot better 12/18/2008

I used to eat here all the time in the bar with my mom. Leigh waited on us. She was exceptional. The food was excellent. Prices good. I've gone there for special occasions, the last being Valentines 2007. Anyhow, the last 3 times I've been in there - the service was horrible whether in the bar or in the restaurant part. They weren't even busy. The process took forever. The food was mediocre to bad. My boyfriend ordered a small steak - but it was ridiculously small. Two bites and it was gone. We couldn't believe it. They got his side dish wrong. My pasta dish tasted like a doctored up Lean Cuisine. We won't go back. There are other good restaurants on the lake. This is really a shame. Pros: atmosphere, menu Cons: quality of food and service poor more

Great restaurant - Always packed - Check it out 12/11/2008

I am amazed at this place! This place is always busy and its no wonder why because of the great atmosphere, a ton of menu options, and a friendly cool staff. Last time I was in they had a packed house as well as a packed outdoor tent party - right on! I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great meal and a great experience. This restaurant apparently has a large banqet department, which is what the tent was for that night - cool backdrop next to the lake with all the lights up this time of year. Check it out it might become your new favorite spot to hang out. Pros: good food, drinks, atmosphere Cons: always busy more

Food Delivered Fresh To Your Table.... STILL FROZEN! 12/10/2008

I hesitate to give this disgusting restaurant even one star. It was AWFUL! Service was almost nonexistant, we couldn't get a server over to our table for a good 15 minutes after being seated. The menu is extensive, but the food is poor quality. I ordered an iceberg wedge salad, the ""bleu cheese"" dressing (more like cheap ranch) drowned everything and the lettuce resembled a pile of COMPOST. I also had a pizza, which came to our table STILL FROZEN! When I sent it back, the waitress acted as though nothing was wrong, zapped it in the microwave, and then made me feel like an idiot when we told her that the quality of the food was bad. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs, unless all you're planning on ordering is water... at least they got that right. Can you say KITCHEN NIGHTMARE???? Cons: Idiot waiters, food that should have been thrown out a week ago more

4-stars. Greatest Happy Hour, good dinners, so-so breakfast 8/10/2008

Hayden's breakfast, leaves little to desire . They are over priced compared to competitors and I've never had a really good breakfast there. The eggs are dry/over cooked and potatoes likewise. My husband and I love going out for breakfast and won't go back for that meal, we tried it on 4 occasions. BUT WAIT... Now on to the good. We love their happy hour. Service on the patio is amazing (even though they often run short staffed). I love their happy hour food, it's as good as dinner at a fraction of the cost and portions are dinner sized, nearly! They've cut back on a few things recently and we've only tried that menu once, but hope they remain consistent to the old days. It's a nice way to end your work day, having salad or burger on the artificial lake in Tualatin. Drinks are good (lot of foo-foo). I love wine, but rarely order it, since it's over priced and the wine I love is marked-up 300% above their cost...highway robbery. So, I stick with my 1 cocktail and skip ordering a bottle of local juice and enjoy the patio. Dinner is good, served ala carte, so can be a tad pricey for the area, but nice presentation. All and all, it's the best for Happy Hour, which is where we usually spend our money here. Pros: Water front, people watching, Best Happy Hour for miles Cons: Breakfast, dinner over priced more

Welcoming Service - Fun atmosphere 8/4/2008

My family and I had such a great time at Haydens. Since it was our first time to the restaurant the server welcomed my family and treated us to a complimentry appetizer. My kids were given toys and paper chef hats to color on and then wear! Our server Kris was a great server and really made the evening fun for our family. Kris also dropped a hand written thank you card with the check which I have never received from any server before! Check out this place it was fun, the food was tasty and inventive, and the service was warm and inviting - WE WILL BE BACK! Pros: Personal service - fun atmosphere Cons: I didn't find this place sooner more

Amazingly bad customer service! 7/20/2008

We had planned to have a late lunch on a Sunday here. The young hostess gave us a look of death as soon as we arrived. Apparently the Sunday buffet ends at 2pm, and we were fine with ordering off the menu. After 15 minutes passed and no waitstaff arrived, we left. Their website says, ""Our staff has been handpicked to offer the highest level of customer service,"" which is a complete joke! The location is certainly beautiful but we won't ever be returning here. My colleagues like to come here for happy hours and I am going to have to share with them why I'll never ever eat here after this experience. Pros: Location Cons: Service more

terrible service 6/8/2008

We were seated outside on a sunny day to enjoy a Birthday Brunch. The waiter did not acknowledge us even after walking past us several times. We finally had to ask to place an order and when we did he looked at us funny as if our request was unusual. (We had asked for fresh whole milk for our coffee instead of the little containers of half and half which were sitting in the sun and for who knows how long). The waiter had no personality did not smile and was not friendly. The coffee was not served until our meal was served-by another waiter I might add and we had to ask for spoons, ketchup, tabasco, jam, etc. I even got up and retrieved a set of salt and pepper from another table. The food was good but cold within minutes of being set down on the table. He passed us by with the coffee twice and we finally had to ask for a refill. When we complained to management he just made excusses and didn't even offer to buy our coffee. Needless to say, I will never eat there again. (I was a waitress for eight years) Cons: service was the worst-management was just as bad more

Highly Recommend...if you have not been to Hayden's, certainly consider it ! You will most likely return!! 5/7/2008

This restaurant is one of the best in the area! It can get crowded but it is worth the wait. Atmosphere is clean and upscale. Food has always been very good and quick, in my personal experience. Waitresses are friendly and will accomodate your needs. Aimie and Miranda are very cheerful and wonderful to converse with; they will make your visit very pleasant! Weekends are extremely busy, espically when Tim & Jim are there! These guys are the best and a must see! Visit Hayden's and have a great time and enjoy the food! Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner will not be disappointing! See ya there..... Cons: Sports Bar could be bigger to accomodate the crowds more

A+ On Food-Service-And Ambience 4/23/2008

I love Hayden's whether it is for breakfast, lunch, or dinner I am hooked! The restaurant is warm and inviting with staff that do not sound like ""corporate robots"" taking your order! Everytime I am in I see the staff visiting with other locals that have found this incredible place to eat. I came in last Sunday for Brunch and they had a live Jazz Trio and complimentary champagne when I ordered my meal - talk about hitting the spot! Tim and Jim are amazing in the bar along with the cocktails! The food is amazing with so many options to choose from this is my favorite place to get a great meal! I can't wait until summer to sit next to the lake! Cheers! Pros: Food,Flavor,Service,Ambience Cons: Didn't discover it sooner more

Good food, TERRIBLE bar service. 3/10/2008

The food is great. But i would stay out of the bar. The service is TERRIBLE. I have been there more than a dozen times and I swear the cocktail waitresses spat on our food. They are very cold and short. more

bad service, food....but the music is good! 2/29/2008

My husband and I have been to Haydens several times since moving to Tualatin, mostly for happy hour, since having dinner there once and being disappointed. the only thing that continues to draw us in is the live music on the weekends. the food is nothing special AT ALL, the cocktails are the same, and the service is beyond horrible, there always seems to be a HUGE lack of staff. Pros: live music Cons: food, service more

Most annoying service award 1/27/2008

This place used to be a favorite of mine, but has certainly gone downhill. The food was OK, but the wait staff was incredibly annoying. They consistently interruped my sentences, and those of my date. We were unable to have a cohesive conversation because the staff demanded our attention so frequently. I have never experienced anything like it and hope to never again! Pros: View of the lake Cons: ""too attentive"" wait staff more

This place has seriously SLIPPED!! 1/3/2008

Used to be a frequent diner here, but it is now relegated to warm weather brunches only, because it's hard to screw up brunch! Pros: great place for brunch on sunny days Cons: Chef Mark is sorely missed. more

Best dining in the southwest 10/9/2007

My family and I come to Hayden's all the time, and it is definitely one of our favorites. Even with all the new bridgeport restaurants in the area, Hayden's remains the best food and service in the area. Always great parking (which is important when you're hungry). Also we had my sister's wedding reception here and the banquet staff was GREAT. They also have new smaller portions available on the menus which is perfect for myself who always ends up with leftovers. Save your self from the hassle of the bridgeport area and come here! Pros: Patio dining, service, parking more

Worst steak dinner I experienced. Stick to breakfast only. 9/10/2007

I have dinner with my wife on Aug 19, 2007 at Hayden's Lakefront Grill. Pros: location, out door dining Cons: food quality and value more

Weekend Nights at the Bar 11/18/2006

Great place to do happy hour on the weekends especially after 9. Live music is great, food is awesome and great prices. Look for nights when Tim and Jim are playing. more
