NEVER TO GO BACK. I received a recall for possible cause of engine malfunction light on. GM stated, "catalytic converter may erode, causing the illumination of the Malfunction Indicator lamp. The service man, ALAN HOVERMAN, said, "catalytic converter is ok, you need to pay $110.00 to diagnose the problem." I thought the cost of diagnosis is applicable to parts and labor, but it was not so. ALAN HOVERMAN stated, "We will order the actuator ($100.00) and you will pay another $110.00 for the labor. I went home and decided to bring my car in a local gas station. Without exaggeration, it only took 2 minutes for the guy to attach an AUTO link and it shows P0010 problem. In 10 minutes, I went home problem fixed. I feel so disgusted that I was prompted to write this review. Pros: null Cons: null more

Service builds Sales...Thats what they say at this dealership and its true. Great dealership. Had a great experience purchasing My Traverse. I met with JR Gray and he was incredibly passionate about his job. Overall excellent experience. My friends are coming to this dealership as well. more

I don't recommend. You may find a car but you will be nickle and dimed and will end your experience with a bad taste in your mouth that will linger for weeks. The car i bought failed inspection. Nothing major but they refused to reimburse me. Most people don't enjoy purchasing a car because of dealing with the dealers and the inevitable feelings of being ripped off, But if you do enjoy that experience, Hawthorne Chevy won't let you down. They include nonsense charges in your sale bill, one or two they may drop to give you the illusion that they are cutting you a deal. Ultimately my experience with them ended in a screaming match over the phone with them telling me essentially that i was cheap and stupid. more

This is a great Chevrolet car dealership. Since it is in a small town and not out on the highway it has the feel of a small local place and not some chain. The people here are friendly and are willing to work with you to help you find exactly what you are looking for. The lot on Goffle Road is all the new cars and the Lot on Lafayette Ave is all used cars. The people are friendly and nice. They have a lot of financing options too though I found better financing deals elsewhere. Definitely worth the visit and better than a lot of dealerships. more
