Hardesty Regional Library

This really is a great library for the atmosphere. They have a coffee shop/cafe there for you to sit down and socialize or stop by for something to drink. The library is right of the highway so you can get there pretty easily from most places. They just built the library and I think they did a great job. Their children's section is nice because it is completely separate from the regualr adult sections. However, the book selection there isn't the greatest. The Tulsa library system does have a quick and effective location system between all of their libriaries. In addition, they have a great inter-library loan program that can get you just about any book from anywhere in the nation. Stop by and visit, it will soon become a favorite. more

I'd say that hte #1 reason people go to Borders rather than the library is the atmosphere & the comfy chairs... But Hardesty is brand new and BEAUTIFUL!!! I'll go there instead, get something from their cafe, and sit in one of their comfy chairs and read... more

Hardesty is the newest & most beautiful library in Tulsa. Also, their meetings rooms are first rate. Aside from the high ceilings and huge windows, I love the fact that they have a cafe there... the only library in all of TUlsa that does! more
