I was at Happy Kids Pediatrics in Tempe for over a year. The office staff was always nice but every appointment there took almost 2 hours. The first issue was when my daughter was 2.5 years old, she had a fever for about 7 days and a stuffy nose, I brought her in twice and on the second visit the doctor said, ""She is on the verge of getting better"". Well the next day she had a higher fever and green ooze out of her eyes, I had to take her to urgent care who told me she had a massive sinus infection. So, fine, I put that aside...at age 4 she went in for her well child check up...She is an epileptic with uncontrolled seizures and they gave her the pertussis vaccine which causes seizures in a child like her. (unfortunately I didn't research beforehand) She had 2 seizures the next day both lasting 10 minutes. I brought her in after the first one because she also had a cough and the doctor said,"" she was the picture of perfect health."" That evening after her second seizure we brought her to the ER, not only was the vaccine affecting her but she also had strep and croup along with a 102 degree fever. ....2 things and the doctor tells me she is the picture of perfect health... what a joke!!! my daughter was sick and we had several late bills.. the manager of the financial office worked with us to make a payment plan. we didnt want to be turned over to collectors. he was respectful and said it was better if we all worked together to continue get our baby treated and the bills paid. i like that. well after reading all these write up for happy kids pediatrics i would like to inform that ever since my child was born i have been with happy kids pediatrics and never had any problems with them. My child got sick once and he was Dx with pnemonia and the doctor gave him a perscription and put him on a neb and every thing work out go i never had to wait long neither did the staff give me a bad attitude they are very friendly people clean office and very organized i would highly recommend these doctors and this oofice in tempe az don't know about the rest but this one has every friendly people thank you for reading this cause it all depends on the respect you bring into an office. I have NEVER written a review before but I felt this was a good time to write my first. We started taking our daughter to the office on Hampton since week one. They were GREAT when monitoring her at mountain vista so we figured they would be great with her in office. Boy did we think wrong. I took my daughter into the doctor at 3 weeks with concerns. A consistant stuffy nose, rattle sounds in her chest and what seemed to be really really bad gas. The doctor told me it was just a small cold, and yes gas that most babies get it and just to give her mylicon. WELL after several visits to the doctor to voice our same concerns we decided to take her to another doctor and finaly figured out the problems. My daughter has acid reflex and REALLY bad allergies. Because of this incompetant doctor my daughter has been suffering for the past 3 MONTHS. My husband and I both had a feeling the problem was more than just gas. I am so upset that when we did voice our concerns at happy kids, we felt the doctors just looked at us and thought, this is a first time mom/parents who don't know what she/they're talking about. The good news is that since we took her to this new doctor my daughter is doing so much better. NO THANKS TO HAPPY KIDS. Pros: Waiting time Cons: EVERYTHING more

I wouldnt usually do something like this, but as the others wrote. I would have to agree with the Tempe facility. they are very rude staff, dont seem to care about the childs well being. I can honestly say my son has seen everyone of those doctors and neither one of them I would recomend. My son had really bad asthma and they wouldnt do anything other then trying to hook him up on one of those stupid machines. i dont know about the tempe office but the phoenix office is ATROCIOUS! talk about bad attitudes and a shiftless clinic mentality! on my first visit, the drill sargeant nurse refused to listen to a word i had to convey about my son's medical history and proceeded to treat us as if we were on an assembly line. when i showed up with my sick son on a subsequent visit, her rude and uppity uncle only asked if we had an appt. (?!)-- these were the first and only words out of his mouth--with an attitude mind you! i'm taking my son to a richer neighborhood where unfortunately they seem to be the only areas that know how to treat customers with courtesy. they gave my baby many different shots which i didn't want them to do. i didn't think she needed so many shots at one time, she already was sick from the flu. on the way home she turned red and started crying, i took baby back and they said they couldn't help me today and that i would have to come in later the next day. they wouldnt even take her temparature. girl at the desk was mean and told me if i didn't like it that i could go to the hospital and switch her doctor. i think they made her sick so i would bring her back for more shots from them tommorow. i don't trust their shots, they made her sick instead of well, and they wouldn't tell me why this happaned. i hope ahccs finds me a new doctor soon so she wont have to go to the hospital again. more

My son is 3 weeks old and I change him because he was having problems since we were at the hospital, he was spitting out the milk every feeding time, but the pediateician released him, I took my son to the pediatreician that I was told to be the best, and he couldn't realize why. This doctor said it was normal. I foun the Happy Kids information and i decided to give them a try, I call and I got an appointment righ away, they did everything to move my son's record to their clinic, when I got there, they were really nice to us, they asked us our language preference, they tooks us inmmediatly inside, and there was one of the doctors taking care of my little one, she asked me the symptoms, and I told her about the sppiting, and my baby having trouble to defecate, she inmmediatly told me that it was the milk and we could try a few ones to decide which one. She gave me a sample of one formula and we will try a few more, I fell confident on taking my baby there, everybody is friendly and the doctors know what to do. Maybe they have some students or people there that are just starting but they try their best and always the doctors have the last word. I love it. I feel that my baby is on good hands. ok so i scheduled an appointment about 1 week before, and i walked in and signed in! i sat down and waited! they took me and my child into a room to be helped and then they said we needed to go into a seperate room for reasons unknown! so we moved! the sat down and waited to be moved back into the room we were first in! then they removed us from the rom to sit back down into the lobby becuase for reasons unknown! and then took us 2 mintues later back into that same room! more

My wife took my two sons in to get a checkup, one had a fever the other needed shots... they had a appointment at 1, i called at 2 and they were still waiting to be looked at. she tried to talk to the workers but they didn't speak any english and wouldn't help her, they turned their backs and walked off when she asked how long it would be. the nurse, talked like my teen son, finally came out and told my wife that she might have to reschedule or take them to a different clinic of theirs. she walked out and then they refused to give us a shot record so we could move him to a different doctor. horrible people, my wife and myself will never take my sons there again. All around I had an excellent experience at Happy Kids Pediatrics. I phoned in and got an appiontment the same day. Upon arrival i received promt courteous service. The staff was very professional and knowledgable. The doctors are out of this world. Dr. Carrazco is amazing. i would highly recomend this practice to anyone who is looking for a good pediatrician. Horrible! HORRIBLE! Made app. 1 month in advance for shots. Sat for two hours while people went in front of me. Wasn't the first time or the second I waited over an hour.-- WAIT it gets better --Take daughter to the office because she was burning up. They tell me to take a seat, Sit there while staff clowns around. I said can someone take her temperature I think I might need to go to emergency room, don't have time for this. So they call her bAck and they can't find the therometer. Then after five minutes they find it and guess what batteries don't work. So they fiddle around another five minutes and can't find the oral therometer so they use the rectal one. No one want's to do there job bunch of kids working for them. When they finally take her temperature they put it under her armpit and then tell me it's normal. I said come on this baby is burning up feel her. They say it's hard to tell . I said lets do a rectal then. Another five minutes goes by they put me in a room and I wait. I come out to the hallway and say can someone take her temperature this is ridiculous. Finally someone comes in temperature is 104.7 then they leave I sit there another five minutes I had to come out in the hall again as my daughter cries. I said can I get a doctor here. So this guy comes in doesn't give me any tylenol motrin nothing. Looks her over and says I can't figure it out. TELLS ME TO GO GET XRAYS OF HER LUNGS even though theres no signs or pneumonia or anything. No running nose no earache. Then says can't figure it out puts her on keflex to treat I don't no what. Either did he. I get home give her tylenol and motrin. Fever doesn't go down after having her in bathtub -so then I go to the ER and they can't believe the doctor didn't do a simple urine test to find bladder infection. Not to mention the fact that Keflex doesn't treat bladder infections. Fever goes down after visiting ER. Quack! Hello-anyone there. The staff is rude and the service is poor. more
