Dennis Hanvey knows his stuff. He is certainly someone I would call an expert and safety is first on his list of concerns. He does great work at a more than fair price. Over the past few years he's taken down huge oak and ash trees very close to my house and in danger of doing a lot of damage. He know exactly what he was doing. I've used his services for years, and he's always been a very nice guy to deal with. more

Rarely have I met a tree service expert that offers confidence, professionalism, ability, accountability, and reasonably priced. Dennis offers all of this and more. I've used him and his team to "climb" and bring down trees well above 90ft after a storm came through our town. We were so impressed, even though my neighbors suggested another company, that we called him again, and I'm glad we did. He owns the company and does the climbing, trimming, as needed. His crew are also very courteous and careful around our home. Dennis showed up when he said he would, completed the job as promised and cleaned the area up. If you need a tree "serviced", Dennis is the person to call, others promise the same thing...but he delivers. If, in the future, we need to have another tree managed or need to recommend a Professional climber/Tree expert...I'll be calling on Dennis. I know it's just a tree, but your property and time and treatment by a professional will leave you completely satisfied, as we are. more

Mr. Dennis Hanvey, of Hanvey Tree Service, is a consummate professional when it comes to his business. My wife and I hired him on the word of our neighbor, and are we glad we did! Dennis gave us a VERY good quote on removing some trees that endangered our house/property (especially after that crazy storm we had last summer!) Mr. Hanvey was very quick at calling me back, setting up a consult, and surprisingly, was very quick to start on the job. Most other places we had received quotes from said they couldn't start for another 2 weeks or so. Dennis told me on Sunday, that he'd start on Tuesday that same week. Sure enough, Tuesday morning at about 8:30 am he showed up with his crew and got right to work. Mr. Hanvey and his crew are very professional, and they clean up each and every day so that there isn't a big mess to clean up. Of course this is all variant on where you are having your trees cut down. Dennis is also very good at changing plans on the fly. We wanted to have a few more trees cut down, he stopped what he was doing, walked over, and said "OK, no sweat!" Last thing that I would like to mention, is that this is one of the most honest and down to earth businessmen I've dealt with in a very long time. Dennis will tell you what his honest opinion is on what needs to be done. If it wasn't for his careful eye, one of the trees that wasn't even on our radar, very well could have been the next one to fall on or near our house. more

Dennis Hanvey is THE man to call when you have a tree that needs to be removed. We had 9 trees that were either dead or leaning on our property that needed immediate removal. Mr. Hanvey came to our home to view the situation and told us which trees he could handle (we had three very large trees that were leaning upon each other and toward our house, which he declined to cut given that he did not have the necessary heavy equipment to take care of it - how often do you get an honest answer like that?). He provided us with a VERY reasonable estimate and even gave us an idea of how much we should expect to pay from our "disaster area" that required a different contractor. He was courteous and efficient in bringing down 6 trees. He is very easy to deal with and handles not only our own tree cutting, but has also worked for many of our neighbors. I actually got his name from a neighbor who had used him for several trees in her yard. The only downside: he smokes a bit. But he actually tries to smoke away from the home and picks up his used cigarettes so they aren't decorating the yard. Definitely a good person to work with when you have trees that need to come down. more
