Hampton Car Wash

Here is the entire story - My wife and I bought a used car and wanted to get it detailed. This place was Highly recommended to us (BY OBVIOUS MISTAKE). We took our car in initially on a Friday to get it detailed. They told us we came in too late. We asked when they were open tomorrow (Saturday), they told us 8-5. We told them we would be back the next day to drop off the car for a detail. When we went to drop the car off, they initially told us that they were planning on leaving at ""230"" and wasn't sure if they could do the detail (mind you they are open till 5, and we were there at 1223). They decided they would do the detail. IT WAS NOT CLEAN AT ALL. The rims were not done AT ALL. the cigarette butts (we don't smoke) were still in the ash tray. THE TRUNK WAS NOT DONE AT ALL. There was still hair in the back seat. When we complained to the owner he agreed that there were several problems with the detail. He then concluded that his ""normal detail team"" does not work on Saturdays. At which, I asked why weren't we informed of this on FRIDAY?!??!! I was so upset I made the bigger mistake of letting my wife handle it (at this point I was getting loud), and the owner told her that he would give us a free detail the following week (during the week). My only problem is that we are a ONE CAR FAMILY AND I WORK 8-6pm. I have NO OTHER TIME TO GET IT DETAILED but on a Saturday. Why weren't we informed of this? The owner did not even offer us a discount, even though I asked for it several times. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE HAMPTON CAR WASH. You are better off going to Waterway ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. If the owner had offered us a discount, I would not be posting this; however, the only thing he offered was to correct it (at a time that is not convenient to me at all). I found this place by accident - I used to go to the place on Hanley. Hampton car wash doesn't look all that nice from the outside. A $14 car wash included a vacuum and a was, as I expected, but then one of the workers took the car aside and spent quite a bit of time thoroughly cleaning it. He re-wiped down the outside with a cleanser ( I asked him what it was for: it was to remove any residual road grime that the automated wash didn't get), washed all of the window, inside and out, and washed the interior surfaces of the car. He spent a lot of time on it and it showed. I was extremely impressed. Don't go here if you don't have the extra 15 min or so to wait, but if you do then it is well worth the $.
