I have been their customer for around 3 years and recently I found out I was ripped of by them on their propane charge in November. They refill my tank automatically and send me a bill. Usualyy the average price was around $150-&350 but last delivery I paid the bill of $558 but smelled something was wrong. When I called them they said they charged me $7.09 per galon when my neighbour at the same month delivery received from them a rate of less than $3.00. They offered me a new rate of $3.90 but refused to give me a credit for the last bill. I asked the person who I talked to: So you can charge anything you want? and she said "Yes" I guess they dont want to milk the cow anymore and decided to have a barbecue. But we know how long that will last. Lost another customer. more

I have been a customer of H. John Davis for 15 years. I recently had a propane delivery to my home in Pocono Mt. PA. The delivery was for 95 gal. and the cost was $812. That's 8.54/gal. When I called H. John Davis and inguired what they charge for propane I was advised that the cost is $3.59/gal. I asked why I was charged $8.54/gal and was informed that $3.59 was the charge for "new customers" but they would adjust my bill. My research shows that the average rate from other propane providers is between $3 - $4. Had I not questioned these outrageous charges, I would be paying more than twice the average current rate for propane. Shame on you H. John Davis for over charging a good and loyal customer. When I refill my propane tank at the end of this season the service will be provided by another supplier. You just lost a very good customer. The rating provided should be minus 5 stars but that was not a choice! more

I called H. John Davis and Company this morning in need of Emergency repair for my furnace. I called the answering service and then the technician called me back. The tech. said he would be at my house in 4 to 5 hours. After waiting 7 hours without hearing from anyone, I called again. I finally got a call back from someone in their office saying that I wasn't an "Active Customer" anymore. Not being an active customer, no one was going to come to help me. I can't believe H. John Davis and Company didn't even have the courtesy to call me and let me know that no one was going to come. They were going to let me sit the entire day thinking I was getting service. That's real nice. In the middle of winter to let someone sit with no heat or hot water. I am shocked that a heating company would treat someone this way. Is there no ethics in this company? Please, anyone who finds this review. Keep looking for another company to provide you with home heating and cooling needs. Pros: None Cons: Horrible Service more
