Stale pittas and nasty food. I love greek food and was unfortunate to experience this restaurant last night. I have had decent fodt from them in the past but twice is enough. Their tabouli was the worst and the pittas were stale. The taziki sauce tastes like mayo with some spices. I would not recommend. Doesn't help that their dining area is dirty. Thanks but no thanks more

The best gyro in town at the best price 2/17/2008

The Gyro Shoppe is simply the best place to grab a quick meal anytime you get hungry when it comes to getting a gyro. This place offers an incredible gyro at a ridiculously low price. I have gone to the gyro shoppe many times before and have to say it has been the perfect meal each time that I go. Great to bring a friend for a quick but satisfying meal. The best is the mini gyro and fries with some malt vinegar. Do not be afraid to try their lemon chicken soup it is the best! Pros: Great food fast, amazing price, hits the spot Cons: Small place can get packed during lunch. Cash only more

GREAT food. 12/27/2007

OK, it could be cleaner...but the food is GREAT! My friends and I frequented this place when we lived nearby. I now live up north and STILL make a special trip whenever I can to get my fix. The sauce on the gyros is tangy and wonderful...my sister had me pick up a gallon for a party she was having. The fries are really good, and I've never been served cold food that was supposed to be hot. The prices are super-low very affordable. I've haven't ventured out on their menu, but I can definately vouch for their gyros and chicken gyros...go get one today! Pros: good food, good price Cons: Like I said...could be cleaner more

Not Greek, not Middle Eastern, and Not Good 4/19/2007

I am typically a very forgiving customer, but when my wife and I visited this restaurant, the service and food, as well as the freezing and dirty facilities were deplorable. I can usually eat just about anything, but this experience proved this theory wrong. In this visit, we got gyros, souvlaki, and fries at midday (not like it was late night or closing time). First of all, the restaurant was so cold we had to eat in the car, and the food was so bad we both felt sick after eatting. The gyros were really bad, they were definitely not authentic in any way and served cold. The fries were alright, but nothing special; also cold by the time we got them. And finally, the souvlaki was terrible. The meat used was indistinguishable, tasted like it was spoiled, and after a couple of bites; met an untimely demise in the trash. This place is a total waste of time and money. It is truely an insult to anyone who is looking for good Greek or Middle Eastern food! Cons: Avoid at ALL cost more

Tasty Greek deli 7/29/2006

The Gyro Shoppe (yee-ro) is tasty and inexpensive, with the most expensive item only about $7. The Beef Kebab is quite tasty, with beef, pita, fries, green peppers, onions, and a tomato slice. They let me know it would take a few minutes to prepare, but it was quick. A ham & cheese pita is yummy, though with quite a lot of mayo. Honey saturates the chocolate baklava. Mmm. On this summer day, the dining area was hot. All in all, enjoyable and easy on the pocketbook. Pros: Tasty Greek food, great value. Cons: Dining area hot, doesn't take credit card more
