I am in my second year at GTC and have not had any problems. Yes, it is hard to get a person on the phone. You can resolve this by showing up in person. Every person I have dealt with has been very professional and helpful. All of my instructor to date have been awesome. I take some courses through ANGEL and some in the classroom. All the instructors I have had work very hard to help you pass their class. The labs have been very helpful with any needs I may come across. Just remember, seldom do people post positive reviews. They take to the internet to bash...Also, I know so many people who have attended GTC and loved it. Oh and Financial Aid, never had a single problem. more

The Web Design Program is terrible 7/25/2011

I would never recommend anyone to go there at all. First of all the teachers do no teach. The web design program advisor teaches all the classes, by the way when you go to class, he doesn't teach at all, all you do is sit there and so does HE. I wasted my time, money, and I will never go back. It is hard to speak to an advisor about issues you may have. IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE LEARNING SUPPORT CLASSES THERE, ALL OF THE TEACHERS SUCK AND THEY DON'T CARE. IT IS HARD TO GET HELP IN THE LEARNING LAB, BECAUSE THE WHOLE SCHOOL IS IN THERE TRYING TO GET HELP AS WELL. IT IS A TERRIBLE SCHOOL ALL OF THE OTHER REVIEWS ARE TRUE!!!!! THEY AREN'T LYING!!!! more

Regestrations Stinks 12/14/2010

Its a waste of my time, and our tax money.. dropped me from my EMT-pluss program without informing me than after passing my pre-recs told me I wasnt even in the program and want me to wait for next fall I wrote this winter of 10 they want me to wait till fall 11. their 1 stop shop is a waste of time my wife was informed that she could start college the following monday and was not told that she owed 195$ or so dollars. When she went to college the following tues they dropped had already dropped her withhout informing her.. I drive from fayetteville to gwinnett,,,, what a waste of time I wont recomend it and plan to write my senator and congressman. more

INCOMPETENT STAFF, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! 10/25/2010

Gwinnett Technical College has attempted to compete with other local 2 year colleges and have crashed & burned. It is impossible to communicate with staffmembers in financial aid, student affairs, or the registrar. Financial aid staffmembers are rude, inexperienced and lack the knowledge to streamline the process. The Director of Financial Aid, Mr. Whitaker could care less about the students. Presumably he is under a great deal of stress dealing with an overpopulated school. The answer would be to add more staff; however, GTC sees otherwise. The result: GTC students pay the price- literally. I missed out on over $1,000 worth of financial aid because the staffmembers were too incompetent to return calls, emails, etc. more

Gwinnett Tech is a two-year school and has many options for programs of study. They have a high standard for their programs and help their students to excel. The administration is available to help at convenient times and locations. I enjoy attending Gwinnett Tech and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a degree in the technical field. PROS: CONS: Cannot recieve a Bachelors degree or higher only Associate degrees or lower more
