My husband and I also rented a propety from Gunn Investments for 12 months. It was a complete nightmare from day one! We didn't have many options at the time and ended up just renting from them. My biggest issue is with their mailing system and horrible customer service. Apparentley our rent was not getting to them on time. So they they tried to hit us with a $100 late fee. After two months of this hassel I just went directly to the post office to send it out. I got my rent certified with a reciept every time! What a pain! But the funny thing is that the rent was waiting in their PO Box the very next day and I never had problems with that again. Also we had asked for small repairs and they never got around to it, when we moved in the place was gross as could be and not thouroghly cleaned. I can go on and on about how much of a joke trhis company is but I don't have enough room, so my last warning...When we sent out our 30 day notice, my direct landlord was out of town for a couple of weeks. I still sent the 30 day notice certified by mail with my forwarding address as clear as day and stated I would like a call as soon as it was received so that there was no confusion on anyone's part. Keep in mind my last rent check was sent with this 30 day notice as well. To my surprise my check was cashed and I never received a call from anyone at the company. I did leave a voicemail with my direct landlord to cover my butt. But I also called and left a few messages to the owner David Haskins. He never made and effort to call me so I faxed over another 30 day notice to make sure it wasn't over looked. then I kept calling him until I got through. When I finally got him on the phone he was a jerk and had a snoby additude, I have more choice words.... Any ways after that mountain to climb, they were having trouble with sending my deposit refund back to me. The Nevada state law is that the refunded money should be to person by 30 days. So I called the book keeper on the 30th day as I still didn't receive my money. She had no idea who I was or how to locate any of my information and that she would call bakc the next day. She never called (that's no surprise when dealing with Gunn) so I called her she said she forgot to call and told me all about her day which was not realted to Gunn Investments. So she called later that day and said it was sent out on time but that the zip code didn't sound correct. And once again she had a busy schedule outside of her actual job with Gunn Investments, so she was gonna call back. After getting no where with theior air head book keeper I thought I would go directly to the owner and get it figured out. I called him and he was a jerk right off the bat, very short tempered and nasty. He said the zip code was wrong, I said he had three forms of the correct forwarding address and that there should be no confusion of where it should be sent( I have copies of everything I sent, and the address is still correct!!!) I then stated I want to get to the bottom of this, can you cancel the supposed check that was sent and meet me in person so I can get my money? Its been well past 30 days! He snapped and said no I won't met you and If I cancel the check , I am gonna charge you a $30 stop payment. He said I needed toi call his book keeper again, even though I already told him she was unorganized and wasn't getting legitimate answers from her. DO NOT EVER DO ANY DEALINGS WITH GUNN INVESTMENTS OF ANY SORT, TELL EVERYONE AND ANYONE YOU KNOW AS WELL! I AM WARNING EVERYONE, AND IF YOU DO ATTEMPT TO WORK WITH THEM YOU'LL REGRET IT!
