Great Place 6/7/2011

I just had my first visit here. This is a great place, it is very small and has a nice small town personal feeling. I spent the majority of my time with the Optometrist, pretty much a first. Dr. Riggs is really relaxed, friendly and personable AND really knows his stuff. I walked out of there being able to see better than I had in years, perfect 20/20(I have been wearing contacts for years but my vision was never perfect). For once the visit to the eye doctor didn't take hours. Dr. Riggs and his staff make going for an eye exam a pretty pleasant experience. Exam and contact fitting and lense prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this office. more

Wonderful 5/20/2011

I was a walk in at the Grossmont Vision Center Optometry and had the most wonderful and professional experience. The staff makes you feel so welcome. The Doctor's office has the state of the art equipment that enables them to give you a complete eye exam without having you walk out with the little funny shades on. :-) Overall the experience was great and educational. Impressive! 5/16/2011

I have been wearing glasses since I was four years old. I have been having eye exams every year since then, 22 years. This office is pleasant looking and the appearance is only enhanced by the friendly and professional staff. My son and I waited only about ten minutes for his appointment. Dr. Riggs was great with my six-year-old, who talks a great deal and asks tons of questions. This office is awesome! more

Very nice experience 5/13/2011

This was my first visit to Grossmont Vision. I already had a prescription so I was there to get new eyeglasses. Not only was the new glasses shopping experience very nice, they adjusted my existion glasses to fit so much better than they ever have. The visit was great the staff friendly and helpfull, and no pressure. more

Pain The ass!!!! 5/4/2011

Yes I am A pain in the ass. I had a blast there the staff is honest and FUN. Esp Mayra She is the only one that said I can convert my sun glasses to perscription, I talked to many vision centers. If you dont go here you are missing the eye experience! more

My recent annual exam and visit 4/27/2011

I have been seeing Dr. Riggs since he took over Dr. V. Mann's practice. I would like to share that every time I visit, Dr. Riggs and his staff treat me as if I were their only patient. I've been wearing glasses or other eye ware since the 6th grade and now I'm 63. My eyes are difficult. It's always been a challenge to correct my vision, but Dr. Riggs is very thorough and never gives up on me and I'm always corrected to almost 20/20. He also detected the beginning of my glaucoma a couple of years ago (I never had a clue) and referred me to an opthalmologist. After I visit Dr. Riggs, he always communicates with the other doctor. Again, very thorough and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting an excellent and patient oriented optometrist. This goes for his long time staff as well. more

Thanks to the whole GVC team! I am treated like a friend from the minute I walk in the door to when I am leaving after an exam, contact fitting or with a new eyeglass prescription, I feel confident with the continued expertise of Dr. Riggs and staff. What a find! more
