Fun and Good Value 7/10/2006

Go ahead, big spender, plonk down that $6.00 and have yourself an hour and a half of fun at this gem of a par 3 course. If you would describe yourself as a golfer, this is probably not the place for you. The longest hole is 115 yards, with the average falling around 75. Still, it's a fun place both for decent players and absolute hackers. We went on a Sunday evening and experienced no waits, except on two holes that were backed up for a bit. Bring your own pitching wedge and putter (you'll need nothing else) or splurge on the $1.00 putter rental ($0.50 for old school ones). The greens are in great shape and moderately challenging. Besides the fun of golf, there is also some inherent thrill in the fact that you could die any moment, hit by an errant ball from that pimply 13-year old behind you (or from lobbing a stray shot and watching to see whether your neighbors hear your "FOOOORE"). more
