The fun started with the lady who took my initial call for a pickup at my local light-rail station. She spoke very fast in one-word questions (bordering on rude) so in spite of a clear phone connection, I had to ask her to repeat every question 2-4 times. \r
\r
I called back 10 minutes later to get an ETA and to verify pick-up location and other info. This time the same agent told me it would be about 5-6 minutes. Not wanting to be a pest, I waited a half-hour. Still no cab. Being the lone person at a dark and very cold train station and loaded down with bags, I was starting to become worried. \r
\r
Luckily a Red & White cab arrived for another fare, but came back to get me as promised, cautioning me that Green & White is known for having issues like not picking up short fares. \r
\r
I called Green & white a third time when I got home, inquiring what happened to my taxi since my original call was over an hour ago? This time a different lady said that they had sent out a fleet call for my trip, but that she would send another one. I politely informed her that in the past hour I had already found another cab home, but that I will be posting my review of this experience online. She hung up on me.\r
\r
Apparently when they looked up my phone number, they assumed that my final destination was my home address, only a short trip and not worth doing (I had never given them my destination location). I could understand if they had told me up-front that nobody would take the call, but to tell me TWICE that my cab was en route is unethical and in some instances, could be dangerous. \r
Cons: Unethical practices
