My favorite store for so many reasons...incense, Egyptian Goddess Oil, tie dye t shirts, sundresses, silver rings, beach glass jewelry and much, much more. more

I recently visited the Grasshopper West in Erie, PA with family. My sister-in-law had purchased a dress there a year ago (way past the time period to return an item, and that's on her). She wore the dress only once and it unraveled. She lives out of state and had just returned to Erie this summer, and only wanted to exchange the dress for another of the same value. She was even willing to purchase a more expensive dress and pay the difference. The employee (who called the owner on the phone twice) said that the only thing that could be done is provide a 10% discount on a new dress, that's all. We feel that this is terrible customer service! In our opinion, they should have at least offered to repair the dress. I also found an identical dress (in style, not color) on the rack while we were there, that had also started to unravel. I showed it to them and they had no reply. If you like incense, oils, tye dyed t-shirts, alternative clothing and accessories, etc, then Grasshopper is the place for you. Grasshopper also sells tickets to different alternative musical concerts that come to town. This shop is definitely a nice change of pace to the "vanilla-ness" of the Erie area. When you shop there, you would think that you were in a college town of a bigger city. Good service, reasonable prices. more
