When I obtained Gourmet Bake Shoppe for my wedding weekend, I expected the best, that is not what we got. When I was looking for a baker, I had to to it long distance(since I live in Connecticut and got married in Norfolk, Virginia), so that made it hard. When I found GBS I was so happy. My husband and I went to the tasting, everything looked beautiful and tasted so fresh. We were promised a fresh beautiful cakes and she did not deliver. We purchased 3 cakes. 1 wedding cake, 1 grooms cake and a anniversary cake for the grooms parents. The Anniversary did not look at all like it was supposed to, and the cake tasted ok. The grooms cake was to have a large verson of the U.S.C.G. seal, and it was so small you couldn't even make out the seal. The killer was the wedding cake, was very very dry, and this ""sugar artist"" flowers look like a grocery store did it, and not a good one! The roses didn't look like roses and both the leaves and the flowers were very pale, like they were left out in the sun. To sum it up, do not use Gourmet Bake Shoppe could have gotten a better on at Ukrops.\r
