Best

My experience at Goodson Acura was great; the salesperson was very supportive throughout my entire process.

Worst

Good: Nothing yet, I still have a 2007 Acura TL that get 10-15 mpg. Its been back to the Goodson Acura 5 times for the same problem.. Bad: I don’t think Goodson Acura can diagnose...

Choose another dealer... 5/26/2011

The below is my actual email string with Goodson. My opinion is that I was misled, but I will let you be the judge. I will say that Goodson made zero effort to resolve the issue. GOODSON: ...That would make our offer $43,786 [Note, this price changes], representing a savings of about 8% from MSRP. CUSTOMER: Thanks, Paul. Please provide following information for a three year 45k lease, assuming excellent credit: 1. msrp: 2.Capitalized cost: 43,786 3. Money factor: Looks like .00103 4. Whether tax credits are available? 5. Residual value. 6. Monthly payment. 7. Whether money factor can be bought down with multiple security deposits. Please let me know the above as soon as you can. Thanks! GOODSON: 1. 47,115.00 2. 43,786.00 [Note, they are still quoting] 3. correct 4. available 5. 25,913.25 6. 603.90 7. no it can not but you could do a one pay lease with a MF of .00023 [Note, at this point a phone call occurred wherein Goodson advised that a one pay lease could be had for $19.2k drive off.] CUSTOMER: Thx again for all of the info. I will be in touch tomorrow regarding final decision. GOODSON: Ok please let me know either way. CUSTOMER: Will do. And you are sure the 19.2k lump sum payment is the right number and you can't go lower? GOODSON: I could get a little lower but it might only be 300 to 500. CUSTOMER: I'm waiting on reply from another dealer to compare, but my crude math is showing price should be around $18,300, which leaves you with $500 profit on purchase price. GOODSON: Not sure but the payment is 547.16. So that should make it 19,150.00. CUSTOMER: So, your bottom line is 19150-500=18,650? Don't mean to grind you. I just need to know where we are for comparison sake. GOODSON: If I give up my 500 profit, yes. [Note agreement] CUSTOMER: Ok, michael. We will see you tomorrow evening. We will bring check for 18,650. GOODSON: Less 500.00 on the cap cost reduces the payment to 541.49. That would make your total 18,952.15 less the first and fees of 679.04. Let me know color and I will get Paul to make sure it is ready for you. CUSTOMER: … you say: "That would make your total 18,952.15 less the first and fees of 679.04." So, 18,952.15 - 679.04 = 18,273.11. So, bring a check for 18,273.11? GOODSON: No sorry for the confusion. 18,952.15 plus first and fees of 679.04 for a total of 19,631.19. CUSTOMER: This keeps moving around and that is way off from anything we have discussed. This doesn't work. GOODSON: Ok, thanks for your time. CUSTOMER: I had referred someone for the same deal. This is very frustrating. Glad I found out before getting to dealership. GOODSON: Well Scott the numbers changed in your favor so I am confused why this is frustrating. All the numbers as well as what you had done the math on was for the 35 payments only. I had mentioned on the phone that those figures did not include the first payment as well as the 137.55 government fees. So having worked all this out and the numbers still lowering in favor of you why would this frustrate you? CUSTOMER: I think the email string describes the basis for my confusion. I asked if 18,650 was your bottom line, and you said "yes". You then said "18,952.15 less the first and fees of 679.04", which would have made price 18,273.11. I questioned that and you responded with $19,631. GOODSON: I completely understand the basis of your confusion. I think some of it comes from the idea that our invoice is 43,286 and it is really 43,586.00. This number is different based on the fact that we have an advertisement agreement fee as well as the other dealers in this area. When I put the numbers in this morning and used actual invoice instead of 300.00 behind invoice then the numbers came out 300.00 higher. I don't think 300.00 is "way" off on a vehicle that is listed at 47,000 but I realize that is a matter of opinion. Thanks again for the opportunity and I apologize about the confusion. more
