Not recommended 6/18/2009

Not recommended. My child hurt her head because the instructor wasn't paying attention. I only found out afterwards from my child not the instructor. They told her to keep swimming because they thought she was fine. When I told them this should have happened in the 1st place I did not get a positive response. Also the management is essentially a bunch of teenagers, different ones every day who are also instructors. They stand between you and your child's instructor because they do not want you to talk directly to the instructor yourself and can be quite rude about it. more

Too crowded 8/2/2005

Gold Medal Swim School offers swim lessons for kids and adults. They have an indoor, above ground pool that can be used year-round. With a ratio of 5 kids to 1 teacher, there is not enough time to effectively teach. In a 30 minute lesson children only get about 5 minutes of time with the instructor. The pool is small and there may be as many as 5 classes going on at once, making it very hard to swim and pay attention. more

They teach the basics of holding breath, learning to float, how to hang on to the side of the pool and how to climb out of the pool. This is a great school for kids under five. more
