"The best carpet cleaners I have had! The owner himself comes on each 1st time visit. Great attention to deal. Very knowledgeable about fabrics , spots and cleaning methods. Used a different method on my wool area rug than on the wall to wall carpeting. They were able to remove spots no one else could. I had these black marks around the edges of some of the carpeting & no one ever knew what caused it. Bill told me it was caused the the air filtration system from the heating unit & how the carpet was originally installed. " more

DONT do it, no matter how good it sounds when you are talking to Bill. He was an hour late, it took him forever to do the job, my carpets turned orange and it took them 3 days to dry. Oh, and when I let my guard down for a few minutes to go outside, he hopped on his phone to waste more of my time. I called him to tell him my carpets turned orange, he said he knew why (something w/ his equipment) and he would be out to re-clean them. He never showed. Rescheduled again, never showed. Now he wont return my calls and his company # is disconnected. My carpets look worse then before and now I have to get them cleaned again!!! I hope I never seen this guy Bill in person, because he will have egg all over his face. Oh, and he said the same things to me as he did to others on this web site...he is the owner and he always does the first job w/ new customers. He claims he cleans the carpets for all the local Marriotts, but I know now that is a lie. Just stay away from this jerk!! more

Complaint Description - Posted 02/15/2010 Summary - Go green attempted to clean our carpets. Ended up ruining them and has since said he would refund our money. Still yet to receive any refund. In November 09, we called Go Green Carpet Cleaning after we discovered that our dog had fleas and brought them in our house. We chose Go Green since we have 2 small children and didn't want toxic chemicals in our house. I spoke with Bill the owner who said that he had a special flea treatment. He came and cleaned all carpeted areas and treated for fleas. The fleas did not go away and the carpet had little spots in 3 rooms and a huge stain in one room after he left. None of these places were there before he came. We called and he came back (supposedly there is a 3 day come back guarantee). The spots didn't got away. We scheduled countless other appointments to try again at removing the spots. At this point we had an agreement that he would refund us for the flea treatment portion, but he claimed he would still get our carpets cleaned. He never came for any of the scheduled appointments. There were at least 3 (always had some elaborate excuse). I finally asked for a full refund. He said he would give the refund. I have never received it. I've called many many times. Supposed they have had checks in the mail but we haven't ever gotten them. The last time he agreed to refund us to our paypal account but we haven't received that payment. He's now not answering our calls or returning calls. We just want our refund and then we will proceed with replacing the carpet in the worst room. What a headache. We have not asked him to replace our carpet in the room that he ruined, although he is responsible. We were trying to be nice about this. Being nice hasn't gotten us anywhere though. They are preying on people who want an environmentally friendly solution but it's all a sales ploy. Thanks for your help! Resolution Sought We are just seeking for the money we gave him, $288. He did ruin the carpet in one of the rooms, but we are willing to replace that on our own, although perhaps we should go that route. OK, so we looked on the internet for good testimonials for companies that could clean our carpets, we didn't just want any stranger in our home. After much searching, we saw the Go Green Pro Co. We saw their testimonials on their site and this site and it seemed reasonable. (paddyv's review was not up yet) I called, & was quoted $180, it ended up being in the $300's. Prices just kept getting higher as they worked on the carpet. Bill is the perfect conman. Loud and always working to getting money out of you.... I should have seen it coming. Anyway, the carpets were cleaned about 50%. Many stains did stay behind, and they were unable to get them off. Oh and about the 12 step process they pride themselves on, it really is only 3 steps. 1. They spray the carpet with cleaning solution. 2. Bill then waits about an hour, by calling his wife and complaining, this went on and on... 3. They vacuum and rinse the carpet. Oh and be aware I was told to wait 4 hours, "by then it will be dry" 3 days later 3 rooms were dried, my son's room wasn't and by then it smelled moldy. As, for those looking at being "Green" I noticed they were just filling these bottles that were labeled "biokleen" with who knows what. So if you're picking them because they are "green" I feel I should warn you, I really don't think they are. They left a bottle behind. It smells like Resolve Carpet Cleaning Spray. There is NOTHING natural about the spray. That and the label is almost peeled off, as they have refilled it so many times. I noticed after the bottles were empty Bill would put them in his pocket. I offered to throw it away, he said "no thanks" Funny how the rest of the trash they made wasn't put in his pocket. I also feel I should warn you that if you need carpet stretching, don't let them near your carpet!!! I have a 1/2 inch gap, from the edge of my carpet to the hardwood floors. This is what I was told by Bill, "don't worry it will stretch over time" The gap is still there!!! Now we are looking at having that replaced! Bill claimed he had a "power stretcher". This device was to minimize us having to move the heavy furniture, as it would stretch the carpet with no problems. He said this is what he would use when I talked to him on the phone. Can you see what is coming??? There was not power stretcher, it was Bills knee, a knee kicker, and lots of cursing! Good thing the kids were at school. Last but not least, be a smart consumer, I feel I have learned much from this experience. Look any company up at the BBB (Better Business Bureau), before hiring them. If there is a complaint at that level, don't use them. As the reviewer 'paddyv' pointed out they have an F rating. Google Better Business Bureau, and search "GO Green Professional Cleaning Services" They really do have an F! Pros: Learn from my Mistake!! Cons: Poor service, and really really high prices more

I would guess that the positive reviews are not written by Bill and Go Green's customers In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they were written by Bill and his family). Bill came to clean our house and the carpets were in worse shape than before he cleaned them. He offered to come back and redo them and if we weren't satisfied he would give us a full refund. When we asked for a refund he stopped answering our calls. We then looked him up on BBB and found that he had a similar record and an F rating. The following is a record from similar customers. The owner was quick to call me immediately when I went online to inquire about services and I thought that was great (my first mistake). When asked what good date would be for me to setup apptmt I responded this Friday and he told me "I like to do carpetcleaning for first time customers personally/myself so I can this Friday open 4-5pm). I confirmed that would be good, I would work from home. I received call from Bill about 25 min before he was scheduled to be here explaining he was stuck on side of road waiting for Triple A to show up but he would be here anywhere from 12/2 hr to 1 1/2 hrs - I said that was fine, I was looking forward to him getting here, please call when on the way. He said for incovenience he would give me another 10% off , and I said thanks - 3 HOURS LATER still NO CALL, I left message saying I guess he was not showing up tonight but was hoping he would call to schedule apptmt tomorrow morning...well here it is after noon next day - NO RETURN PHONE CALL, NO APOLOGY, NOTHING - If you are looking for dependable company DO NOT USE THIS ONE. They didn't even have deciency to call and say they were a no show.. Oh well, guess the other 5 homes here in neighborhood waiting to see/hear how well my carpet came out from them will hear from me NOT TO USE GO GREEN - very discourteous service... Pros: hmmmm. I was thrilled to find Go Green when I needed my carpets cleaned. I had recently switched to greener products so this company was a natural fit with their methodology and use of safer products. They responded quickly and did a thorough cleaning. It?s nice to know that we?re not walking around on harsh chemicals and I was not overcome by toxins during the process. I chose Go Green after reading about different cleaning methods and the types of chemicals that the different local companies use. I'm a veterinarian and wanted to use the safest cleaning products possible (organic doesn't necessarily mean safe). Go Green went through all of the steps listed on their website and my carpet looked new when they finished. Go Green provided great service and I will definitely use them again!
