Sat outside for my husband's birthday lunch. Great service and the crabcakes were outstanding. I ordered mine broiled and his was fried. You can also pick from 10 different sauces...

An Artful lunch date 2/3/2006

Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art is what museum cafés strive to be: known for not only being the museum restaurant but also a classy and approachable dining establishment. With a cozy dining area elegantly styled to the delightful patio open in the summer for outdoor luncheons, Gertrude's is the perfect ending to your BMA excursion. Watch for their weekly wine and entrée specials; desserts are simply divine. Excellent service, reasonable prices, and a romantic atmosphere make this upscale restaurant a true work of art. more

Romantic Atmosphere and an Art Museum 2/1/2006

Gertrude's at the BMA is a fantastic place to bring a date, or just a friend. It is literally located inside the Baltimore Museum of Art. Their atmosphere is excellent--the ceiling is painted to look like a night sky, and they have a wall of windows overlooking the BMA sculpture garden. Combine that with dinner specials every Tuesday, as well as the first Thursday of every month, and you've got a winner. Their crab cakes are fantastic--and in case you're not a big eater, I hear they have some nice art in the lobby. ;) more
