A vegetarian bar, what a great idea. 2/10/2010

This concept fascinates me and causes me to visit GLC often. It makes everyone happy because even those opposed to vegetarian food can not possibly be opposed to liquor, well at least they shouldn't be. They have great food, I love the spilt pea soup and usually get the baron sandwhich. I have a hard time trying to force myself to try something different because it is so good. Plus its a bar so you can have some good food, have some drinks and hang out with friends all at the same time. They are also very proud of their vintage video game collection. I do get a little worried though when I am leaving the bar and have to back into the train tracks but so far have had no incidents. Hahaha. Pros: great veg food, liquor, atmosphere Cons: parking near train tracks not good for alcohol consumption more

I don't drink. I look for gr8 places to eat. This one's gr8! 10/21/2009

Who cares what the place looks like? I care about what the food taste's like. This place is such a whole in the wall, if you walked in without shoes, no one would notice. I've never had a bad meal here. They're all great. I'm hooked on the vegan burger though. Don't remember what they call it.. but it's gr8 Pros: Best vegan food I've had in Seattle Cons: Dining area could use an extreme makeover.. LOL. more

I want it to be a secret spot, but everyone needs to know! 12/5/2008

LOVE this place! the food rocks, the games are SO fun, the bartenders are super cool and the service is awesome! cant wait to go back!!! even if you are a meat eater like me.... you will love the vegan options!! Plus, how many places can you belly up to an original ATARI and play Asteroids while drinking a friosty brew!? more

My new favorite place! 11/10/2008

Went here for the first time last night and it was great! We traveled from Snohomish county to try it and it was well worth it! The food was great, the bartender really friendly and the games were a blast. If this place was a little closer we'd be their best customers. We still plan to drive down whenever we can. Highly recommended!!!! Pros: Great food, great atmosphere, funny games and friendly service. more

What a surprise. A vegetarian oasis. 3/2/2008

This place has the feel of a popular neighborhood restaurant. The closest thing to an English pub that I have seen in America. The waiter is friendly and very attentive. And the food....well it has a huge array of vegetarian specialties that are often original and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The freshness of the greens will send you into orbit. \r \r This place is every bit as good as Cafe Flora but it has real people and a working class atmosphere. What a find! Pros: Everything. Cons: Not sure you can bring kids in here. more

One of the best spots around! 1/16/2008

I'm almost hesitant to share this, as GLC has sort of an undergound feel which I appreciate, but I also think the business deserves to thrive, and that people will love it! All the food ROCKS, even if you're not a veggie or vegan. The lentil-sage field roast in some of the sandwiches is a great alternative to all-soy vegan food we see everywhere, and it's delicous. The roasted veggie platter is divine, and the brie-apricot-field roast-arugula sandwich is my standby. I love the bartenders--I always feel like a pal, and the drinks are very strong (order less strong if that's what you prefer). All this, and it's pretty cheap! Pros: FOOD & DRINKS! Cons: If you don't dig divey atmospheres, forget it. more

Great Service, Yummy Food! 8/27/2007

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick lunch not expecting anything spectacular but boy were we surprised! The food was delicious and we're not even vegetarians! The bartender who served us made us feel like regulars and made our drinks accordingly. We will definitely go back! Pros: Good food, good buzz more

Best veggie restaurant in town 8/23/2007

This place rocks! Really! My husband and I just recently went there and I must say my dinner was excellent! My husband is like the anti-vegeterian and he loved his Reuban. He even wants to go back again. The service is so great. Really for a town that I think lacks in the service department, the staff here is so on it! Thanks for a great dinner and opening my husbands eyes to great tasting vegetarian food. It's the only vegetarian I can get his to go to now since we had a bad lunch at Cafe Flora. Good Job Georgetown Liquor Company! Plus Georgetown is a great location anyway. Pros: The staff is great, the food is excellent, veggie rocks here! Cons: parking is lacking but really just use a scooter your in Georgetown more
