Miguel and his crew were absolutely fantastic during our move from NYC to Maplewood! They were prompt, incredibly professional and really efficient with moving our valuable belongings without damaging a thing! We were in awe with how great this experience was. Pete and his men were excellent and very professional in their packing. They were very careful with my walls and furniture. They were fast but efficient. Beyond my expectations ! 4/22/2011

First and foremost, I wanted to thank Jake, for all of his help in working with us to minimize the cost as much as possible. I truly am very grateful for his desire to help us with this move. The team though, is the one that should get all the credit because these guys are incredibly dedicated and professional! They absolutely went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our personal items were secured and safe from being damaged. They worked so hard but still kept their friendly and pleasant attitude through-out the entire day. There is no doubt that i will recommend this company, especially Rich, Ray, Jessie and Michael , to assist anyone i know with their move. Thank you General Movers for a well done job! more

The move went extremely well, as the team listened and followed through on the leader's (Miguel) orders, Their courteusness was real, which is a definite positive for this business. Usually, moves break down halfway in energy and team spirit, but this team exceeded what I've seen in the past. Now I know why this company was so highly recommened. The move went very smoothly, I was very impressed by how efficiently the movers have handled everything and how careful they were with all my belongings. They were also extremely helpful with aiding me tie up any loose ends around the house. They were very professional too! I will definitely refer them to my friends and family and use them in my next move as well. more

The team that General sent us was hard-working, polite, fast and efficient. The foreman went above and beyond his duties. The final cost ended up being even lower than the estimate! Thank you very much! If it wasn't for this team this company wouldn't have been where it is today. more

Rich and his team got to work right away and didn't stop till the last box was in place. They were extremely efficient and worked very well together. They worked really hard to finish everything as fast and as professionally as possible. They were also very honest with the pricing and the final price was even cheaper than the estimate! Amazing service! 1/22/2011

We had a lot of valuables, very old furniture in our family (some 200 years old) and the team took great care with each piece. They set up the furniture and put items exactly where we wanted them so that all we needed to do was unpack our boxes. We had a lot of books (a ton!) but they moved all of them without a single complaint. The entire team was courteous, kind, funny, helpful and worked non-stop. I didn't have to worry about a thing! The team, led by Rick, was very strategic in how they worked to save time (and saved me money!). General Moving Carriers has a very trustworthy team- They even found a credit-card while loading the truck and returned it. Thank you General for making a major event in life a stress free one. more

Manuel and his crew did a fantastic job on a complicated move. He, Jose and Augustin were hard workers, courteous, barely stopped for a break during a very long day. The estimate was extremely close to the final cost and the difference was explained very carefully. They were so helpful with the unpacking of my boxes, unrolling the rugs and set up the furniture at my new house. It was great. Everything was at the right place and arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend this crew for any move. more

The team came on time and went straight to work. They were very helpful and offered suggestions on how best to pack remaining items. Once they arrived at the new house they worked quickly and carefully and were very patient and accommodating about moving furniture to different spots around the room. Everything went very smoothly and the team cleaned up everything as well. There was no damage to anything and the team had a great, friendly attitude throughout the entire move. more

Wonderful experience 1/13/2011

Todays experience was wonderful! When we saw the big truck and only 2 men, we were a bit nervous. However, Miguel and Carlos did a job of 6 men- they were detailed and efficient and kept such a pleasant attitude through the whole move. Both men were a pleasure to work with. I still can't believe they were still smiling after putting in such a full day and then some. I would highly recommend this company and their 2 men. more

Honestly recommended 1/8/2011

I have never used a professional moving service before, but I would honestly recommend this company. From the first phone call to the last box, they were absolutely amazing and helpful beyond what is normally expected. They crew was very polite and highly efficient.
