I've bought A LOT of jewelry over the years, and Gem Shopping Network is my first choice. Their quality is out of this world, and their prices are fair given the quality you're getting -- more than some of the ""cheap seat"" jewelry channels, but these gems are beyond comparison to what's being offered elsewhere.\r
\r
The other review that says ""bait and switch?"" What? How can you bait and switch when you're a live auction that sells one item a a time? I think this is incorrect information. At any rate, it's not specific, and is therefore, to me worthless.\r
\r
Here's my experience with Gem Shopping Network.\r
\r
I looked at a ruby and diamond ring in a local jewelry shop (very reputable) for $19,000. I bought one 2 weeks later on Gem Shopping network that was of a higher quality (certified Burma ruby with more and better diamonds) for $5,900. My wife was knocked out when she saw it... it was a jaw-dropper.\r
\r
Time after time, when I compare their offerings to local shops or online offerings, I find that you're getting more for your money with Gem Shopping Network.\r
\r
Their format is a little hard to get used to, but call in, and they'll explain it to you if you ask. All the people on the phones are very nice to work with.\r
\r
Since that first order, I've ordered some diamond earrings that were totally stunning -- and for a good price. I have three more orders pending, so obviously, my dealings with the company have left me with a good feeling about the cost, quality, and service standards of Gem Shopping Network.\r
\r
I honestly wonder if the other reviewer has them confused with other TV-based jewelry companies with similar names. You see an item, you call, make them an offer, they take it, and it's sent to you. How can bait and switch be used in that format? If they sent you something you didn't order, you have a 7-day approval period anyhow.\r
