Good value, Friendly Staff 3/28/2010

We got to Lincoln City for our first visit Friday night, and after a long week, and long ride in the car, decided to get carry out. We saw Gallucci's on the way to the motel, it looked good so I went back. They have a really nice assortment of combinations, so you don't have to make one up. The staff was young, but focused and helpful. There was a crowd, but the '20 minutes' predicted was accurate, and there's a nice bar where you can actually get a 'short' (10 oz) beer of microbrew quality while you wait. It's a family place, don't look for your little wood fired ""gourmet"" pizza here; it's a big, hearty working man's sort of pizza that we enjoyed tremendously. I had the remainder for lunch the next day. Pros: Fast, tasty pizza, helpful staff Cons: You may eat entirely too much ! ! ! more

I'll pass next time 9/18/2009

We will never go back. Very cold and impersonal greeting. The soup tasted as if from a can - yesterday. We did not get the dill pickle, which I like, with the sandwiches as advertised. The guy bussing tables was friendly and personable. The guy who was cooking the pizzas used the rod for pulling them out of the oven on one of the girl's heads (it was obviously cold at the time)!! No obvious adult supervision. I read several of the other reviews here and it's obvious this place is simply not consistent in the service nor in the quality of the food since so many people liked it. Also, I'm almost 70 ,and I didn't know about the senior discount until after we left. It was never offerred, although to be fair, that's really not their job. Most places I go to now do give me that discount without having to ask. Pros: Good sandwich, but pricey Cons: Soup was horrible, no pickle with sandwich, service more

don't do it 6/28/2009

background: visiting from pdx and based on the glowing reviews ordered 19"" deluxe / veg and 19"" 1/2 pep / 1/2 cheese ($63)... pizza: absolutely subpar - crust was like cooked playdough, toppings were not even dominos-quality, canned sauce, just overall a bad pizza. sad if this is in fact the best pizza in LC. bottom line: if you're from out of town and looking for some great pizza... don't be fooled, LOOK ELSEWHERE, you will regret it. Pros: kid friendly, arcade Cons: pizza is way below average more

The luncheon pizza 11/7/2008

For those of you looking for a good place to get a great pizza you have to give galluccis a try. I go into galluccis every friday, and even on some thursdays and saturdays if my work schedule allows. They have a personal lunch pizza that I only pay around $5 for and it feeds me for two whole meals. I go home freeze my left overs for later that week, and when I finish that, it's time to go back and get another. On the weekends I get 1-3 of my grand daughters and none of them like pizza. Even though this is the case they will always say they want to go to Gallucci's. With the arcade of the choices of Nachos, and other good options besides pizza everyone stays happy! Pros: great food, great atmosphere, great service Cons: WHAT CONS??? more

great for whole family 11/7/2008

Gallucci's is soooo yummy, my kids love it when I tell them we get to go to the pizza house (that's what they call it). There's a nice size arcade that makes the wait not much of a wait at all. The service is always the best and for my picky eaters there are lots of other choices besides pizza. more

you HAVE to try Gallucci's 11/7/2008

I have been going to Gallucci's for over 25 years now and have yet to find another pizzeria that even comes close to the quality and quantity of this place! You may have to spend a couple extra bucks but when you're pizza comes out of the oven it has more toppings than you can imagine and the taste is EXQUISITE!!! Pros: QUALITY FOOD, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALL AROUND BEST PLACE more

Totally disappointing 8/4/2008

We were visiting Lincoln City from out of state. After a very long day of driving, we arrived at our rental house and ordered two large pizzas for the 7 guests at 7:53. At 9:34, I called to inquire about our order. The woman that answered the phone put the manager on. He explained that a new employee was working the phone. She did not realize that they did not deliver to the part of Lincoln City we were located in. She obviously did not write down my phone number correctly either because the manager called my cell phone number but used the local area code. The manager offered nothing but apologies and an offer to remake the pizzas that we would have to pickup. Since half of our party had already gone to bed - too tired and hungry to wait. I declined their offer. Very unacceptable to have untrained front-line staff and then not placate unhappy customers. more

BEST pizza EVER! 1/1/2008

We were vacationing in Lincoln City and got the pizza craving - apparently we called the right place. This pizza is the best we've ever had. Nothing in Seattle touches it - in fact, we almost bought an extra just to bring home and reheat! Sigh... alas, we have nothing like it around here. more

Really, the only place I HAVE to visit when I go to Lincoln City 8/21/2007

Wow, I was just at Gallucci's this Saturday and finally decied to post a review. I was really surprised to see the two bad reviews for Gallucci's. I've been going here for pizza for over 20 years and it's excellent. The pizza is fantastic; stacked with pepperoni and loaded with cheese. The crust has always been excellent, nice and thin and yeasty - much better than the doughy flavorless stuff that folks are used to getting a Domino's or Papa John's. Pros: Delicious pizza, small arcade to keep kids busy. Cons: Can be crazy busy in the tourist season. more

Aweful food . Dirty Tables.Terrible Customer Service 7/29/2007

We stop for lunch. It's the first restuarant we see on the right coming from Portland. First I'm surprised to see kids ( ages between 16-18 ) Running the place. I counted 6 kids. They take our order of the 8.00$ each lunch special. We get a salad bar and Individual pizzas. They hand us a teacup saucer size plate for the salad. And we go to a sorry looking salad bar, we put some lettuce and dressing on that plate. We Bought our soda. We sit down. When our pizza numbers are called I went up to get our food and they push towards me hot pizza pans. I tried to pick them up and they are to hot. way to hot. duhhhh . the kid goes oh. here you might want to carry them with some paper plates that he tosses to me. after I gave him a dazed look of disbelief . I took the paper plates and carried them to our table. The pizza tasted like crappy cardboard. I could not believe that these kids are standing behind the counter not helping anyone. just standing there! They can't even walk your pizza to your table? Are you kidding me? Never Never again. After a 18$ lunch for 2 they could at least keep their tables clean. On July 27th. 2007 at 2:30 PM Pros: Lots of parking (Shoulda been my first clue) Cons: Even the Bathroom was nasty more

Disappointing 10/1/2004

There was a time, over 10 years ago, that this was a good pizza spot. But now the dough is like cardboard, and the pizza is not the same as it was from 1984 to 1994. It appears to have changed hands a couple of times. The salad bar is better than the pizza. They need to go back to fresh dough. The dough they use now seems to be frozen dough. Pros: Sports TV, Salad Bar, Good for large group more
