This spring I was involved in a serious automobile accident. I was in the hospital and nursing home for 9 weeks. During this time, I was referred to the firm of Cecil & Geiser as being one of the best in Ohio. After I contacted the firm, Andy Cecil came to visit me in the nursing home. Considering that the nursing home I was in is over one and a half hours from Columbus, I was quite impressed that he would travel this far to discuss my case with me. This really put my mind at ease knowing that I would have someone looking out for my best interests. After this initial visit, i have been in contact with Andy Cecil and Matt Ice and their staff by phone and e-mail on a regular basis. They have both made the hour and a half trip to my house after I was released from the nursing home. Initially, I signed a an agreement with an attorney from a different law firm who appeared to me to be very enthusiastic and positive about the merits of my case, a 'slip & fall', which was not ""obvious and open"". \r Weeks after my having supplied the attorney with much documentation vital to the case, and an explanation of circumstances surrounding the accident, I received a letter which in essence, withdrew all representation of me and of my interests in the aforementioned 'slip and fall' injury. He immediately recognized the merit of my case, and as such, I signed an agreement to be represented, with this law firm in our initial meeting.\r This attorney, Brian Gibbs, was always accessible to me. He was invariably patient, polite and in every way professional, yet personable.\r Today, December 23, about one year after my having signed our agreement, I prevailed against the defendant(s) in a settlement which was fair, and which I am VERY pleased to receive. more

I retained Cecil & Geiser after a personal injury in 2009 (I was a pedestrian struck by an elderly driver).\r \r Sydney McLafferty worked with me on this case.\r \r Since I had moved out of state it was a difficult position for my attorney to have to handle a long-distance case, which Ms. McLafferty did an excellent job. As this was my first injury and lawsuit Sydney was very understanding, she explained the entire legal and court process and each step we had to go through.
