ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD 5/1/2013

This is my mom after her eight fall at future care Cherrywood.I was told by the administrator, we cannot stop your mom from falling. Since they were cited by the state she has not fallen. Do not be afraid to report neglect. If there was room for more pictures I would have shown the wet depend mom was wearing upon my arrival on March 29. After speaking with Management, their attorney stop me from visiting without supervision WHY? because I threatened to call the police for neglect so they went behind my back to inform the police that I was disruptive. Now they are asking me to visit mom in her room only and to be escorted so I will not communicate with other family members. Future Care knows that I am telling the truth. I have all her falls in writing by their staff members. I may just post it on face book. after all They charged me $727.81 for mom's medical records over 900 pages at 79 cents per copy that's OK I paid for it the truth is there. also I have a journal with every conversation we had, every report I made and every picture of mom sliding in her chair even at the nurses station. I do not want any special attention for mom all I want is for her to be cared for. I have seen some improvement but I have worked hard for it. Some one of my previous reviewis missing I wonder how? more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/2/2012

My mother suffered a hip fracture at an assisted living and I needed a great facility for her rehab so she could return to the assisted living. As someone who is actively engaged in the health care industry, and works for FutureCare, I placed my mom in what I know to be is a premier facility for sub-acute and long term rehabilitation, FutureCare Cherrywood. I have not been disappointed in the results as the great rehab team has worked wonders to restore her to pre-fall functionality and did so with compassion and respect for her indiviuality. Concurrenlty, the nusing staff, medical team and allied health professionals have kept my moms morale and spirits up during her stay which is always a challenge when the elderly have to orient to a new environment. I would highly reccomend FutureCare Cherrywood to anyone who is in need of short term rehabilitative or long term care placement. more

I currently work here and would definitely say it's an amazing place to work. Everyone is friendly and cares very much about the patients and their families. As Rebecca says, it receives high ratings from the government on a regular basis. Definitely recommend it. more

A word from the medical director 9/12/2012

My mother had her second stay at 6/4/2012

My mother had her second stay at FutureCare Cherrywood recently to rehab from a knee replacement surgery. Her first stay years ago was for a shoulder surgery. She had her pick of facilities but chose Cherrywood again. Not only did she like the staff, large clean rooms, and food, but the doctor was readily available if she (or we as family) had any questions or concerns. The PT and OT (rehab techs) and well-equipped rehab rooms truly helped her accelerate her recovery so she could return home with a smooth transition. more

RUN, RUN, RUN 4/22/2012

CitySearch requires a rating so I was forced into giving a star. In reality Future Care deserves no stars. If you ever need the services of a nursing or rehabilitation home DO NOT CONSIDER Future Care at Cherrywood for one second. I was warned about this facility many years ago and foolishly thought that conditions would have improved over the years, but it is not so. It did not take long to discover that the care was exactly as I had heard about all those years ago. Staff ignores requests for basic needs such as drinking water, diaper changes, diabetic nutrition or low salt diet restrictions. All of the food is pre-packaged so your risk of developing diabetes is very high. If you do have diabetes and need a special diet you will be given the same as everyone else and told to get a something at the snack machine to raise you blood sugar. IF YOU ARE HAVING A LIFE THREATENING EVENT THE STAFF AND DOCTOR ARE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ENOUGH TO SAVE A PERSONS LIFE. You or your loved one will most likely die. Oh, by the way I have had three relatives in this facility (not all my choice) and each one has experienced the same treatment. more

ITS A MISTAKE 4/27/2010

They all buff and shine ....thats nice when it comes to a casket. My Father just about found that so. Medicine screw ups. Only one Doctor for the whole place. Pros: Nice Service people Cons: Doctor dont care more

Well if you must 4/17/2010

There are some extemely good people working here but there are nurses that WILL lie ,intentionally about the medicine content appropriated to your loved one , relevant to dosage and miss the que when it comes to giving said positive meds such as vitamin D and pain relievers. They have staff who are subject to not rendering quality assistance to the resident and the good people who do are highly taxed when it comes to burden and Pros: Awesome attempts more
