I only wish I had read the reviews here before I spent my money there. I had yearned for one of their high end offerings for a very long time. I visited and learned that one was on sale. When I finally went back to make the purchase I was relieved to see that this special order item was still on sale. I ordered the light and paid with my credit card. A few days later they called to say that they, FL&L, had discontinued carrying the light. They said I could have the display model or purchase a new one for nearly $100 more. I really wanted the light by then and did not want to spend the extra money. I told them that I felt that switching after I paid was a shoddy way to treat a customer. They kept tell me that I was confused. I understood completely that they had no intention of advertising that the price was for a display model that had been on their floor at least a year and I also understood that they had not intention of changing their minds. Unless you're a DIY and are doing the installation immediately, don't shop here. I hadn't noticed on the receipt, but they have only a 7 day window to return for refund. It took me nearly 3 weeks to get an electrician out; it was a small job and I could hardly get call backs from local electricians. When finally I did, the guy told me that one of the fixtures has a base too large to fit. It is brand new; he didn't open anything in the box, but the owner, Ida, would not take it back, only offering a "store credit" despite that I assured her I would never use it and would not be needing fixtures or lamps in the foreseeable future. She actually suggested I could use it for lightbulbs! Really? I'm going to drive to Furlong for lightbulbs. The other fixture I bought is lovely, but was out of stock so I was offered their display fixture, which they took down and packed in a plastic sack with NO ruduction in price for this used fixture. I went here trying to support a local business. I went on a weekend and they had nothing in stock that worked for me, but they said look online and we'll order what you want. So I did and went back a few days later with a printout from their website of some really basic sconces. First off, even though I had a printout from their very own website, they had to go back into the computer (and the woman who helped me acted as if she'd never used a mouse before) and find it all over again. Then I was told that my item was special order and once they ordered it it was mine, period. Now if I was ordering some special hand blown glass thing in a crazy color, I'd get that. But there were really basic, bronze sconces. They wouldn't budge on this so I declined. Now I'll go and order them from pottery barn or restoration hardware online, where they'll take them back if they arrive and I don't like them (it's sometimes hard to tell about quality via a website picture). My wife and I stopped into Furlong Lamp while passing by on our way to Peddlers Village (they had a big sale going on) and boy did we hit the jackpot. We wound up purchasing lamps for three rooms, a mirror, a picture, and a dining room chandelier that was on clearance marked down from $1100 down to $550. (we googled the item when we got home and lowest price we found was $999.00\r The staff couldn't have been friendlier and they know their stuff.\r BTW, we were so excited with our purchases never made it to Peddlers Village and went home to see how everything looked. more

iT TOOK MONTHS 2 GET AN EXCHANGE FROM A FAN THAT DIDN'T WORK. THE OWNER ONLY WORKS WEEKENDS AND THE MANAGER HAS NO POWER TO WORK WITH WARRANTIYS. Whenever my family decides to renovate or update a room, we head to Furlong Lamp & Lighting. I've never seen a better selection anywhere,and prices are reasonable. Also, they often have complementary drinks and soft pretzels to offer. more

They carry Quoizel and Stiffel among other brands. In addition, they carry a selection of Department 56 and Lenox gifts. more
