Best

Best Sushi in Palo Alto hands down. The sushi/fish is some of the freshest i have had. The quality is comparable, if not better then that found at sushi restaurants in bigger citi...

Avoid California Rolls and Sake Nigiri 6/17/2006

Previously, I enjoyed fresh, delicious sushi at Fuki Sushi. I went this Sunday, 6/18, and the California Rolls used fake crab legs instead of the fresh crab meat they used to be famous for. The Sake Nigiri was fatty and didn't taste fresh. What a disappointment! It had only been a couple months since I last went. Obiviously, something happened. The rating on citysearch.com needs to change for Fuki Sushi, it was not a 9.2. Give that rating to Naomi Sushi, they have been consistently good. more

Better Dining In than for Take out! 3/23/2006

We ordered take out our first time trying the food and it was OK. The next time, we tried dining in (this is supposed to be the best place around) and the food was better, the ambiance was enjoyable and the staff were friendly. We got to try more dishes - and liked the fried tofu appetizer, loved the Dragon and Almond Shrimp Rolls, and for dessert the coffee mochi we tried to split was so good, we had to order another! We find the prices reasonable, except for any of the noodles, they aren't to our liking. Pros: Food, Friendly Staff Cons: Crowded at times more

Best Japanese for more than twenty years 10/31/2005

I really love this restaurant, as I have been eating there for more than twenty years; with family, friends, alone.... The service is excellent, especially when I am alone, although sometimes when I am with family it can be a little sluggish...hmmmm (grin). Heeheehee. Anyway, back to the review.....Food is excellent, especially the Spicy Agedashi Tofu, the Soba soups, the House salad, and the tempuras. I love the added daily special menu. I have recently become highly fond of sushi, and the sushi here is delicious. The hosts (owners)--I have known them a loooooooooong time--are soooo wonderful. Pros: Food, Ambience, Service Cons: Parking more

This is a good japanese place especially 12/19/2004

for sashimi, but not for rolls. My salmon teriyaki was overcooked and didn't flake nicely as it should. I was disappointed esp. since it was way overpriced. Pros: good sashimi, authentic decor Cons: , dry, small portions more

forget aboutit 10/10/2004

It's too bad you can't return the food you ordered. Since my favorite place closed in palo alto (hygashi west) I tried this place. From the get go things went sour; service was bad took forever to get our drinks, portions small, yellow tail was chewy. the owners have personalities like stop signs. I changed my table 3 times. All this for $120.00 out the door. more

Too Expensive! 9/25/2004

Fukisushi is way overpriced. A Dragon Roll is $12, Spider Roll $9.50, and Rainbow Roll $9.35. My boyfriend and I had sushi and sake and the bill was $120 before tip! The seats are incredibly cramped and the mood is totally unromantic because you can hear the conversation next to you. There are so many better Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area that are half the price. Pros: Good presentation Cons: , Seats too close, Unromantic more

Best Sushi in the 650! 8/25/2004

I've been to many sushi restaurants in the bay area and SF and rank Fuki Sushi at the top. Their fresh fish and great service will make your evening or lunch a true treat. Prices are a bit high but as with all quality food your body with thank you. Well worth a try. Pros: Service, Fresh fish, atmosphere more

Nice place 2/7/2003

Food was great. It was little bit pricey but I think I enjoyed every dollar I spent in there. more

Pretty good! 11/25/2002

I really enjoy having sushi everytime I go to Fuki Sushi. You should try many kinds of sushi at the counter. more

The Best Sushi I have Ever Had 11/23/2002

I have been to many sushi places but this place by far is the best. The Sake Sashimi is the fresh and fat. The spicy rolls are excellent, I recomment trying the scallops. It is a bit expensive but is worth every penny, not only do you have great food but a wonderful authentic atmosphere. Pros: Excellent Food, Authentic Atmosphere more

A Real Treat 9/27/2002

This restaurant has an authentic atmosphere that is to be experienced. The food is great too. Some of the best tempura I've ever had. Pros: great atmosphere, great food Cons: expensive more

Fuki is good! 9/24/2002

Very good fish. Generous slices on nigiri. Nice atomosphere. Atmospheric prices. Best Tempura I've had. Nice service. And they had toro in house last time I went (fatty tuna; delicious if you like fatty fish). Nice treat. Recommended for a nice date. Ask for the private room. more

it's just ok 8/14/2002

Food was ok. Price is average. Just wish there are more Japanese restaurants in Palo Alto more
