\r My daughters and I saw a young lady on the street one day and loved her cut and color. We introduced ourselves and ask her who did her hair. She told us that she did.\r \r My daughter made an appointment with the young lady, Taylor, at Frenchy's and wow her hair looks great!\r \r My other daughter went to her and same thing, her hair looks great!\r \r My friend went to her and my friend loves her hair, me too.\r \r Okay, so I went yesterday. I love the color and the cut is just what I ask for and more. My hair looks fuller than it has in a long time.\r \r thanks Taylor! more

The best manicurist in town is now at Frenchy's! Jeanna has moved to Frenchy's and what a great move it was! The ambiance is fabulous, she has her own space in the salon, her equipment and tools are her own and you never need worry about catching something from those ugly, shared foot sinks again. I went in for a manicure/pedicure at 6 pm on a Friday night and was pampered. Jeanna is using a new foot bath with liners and it is clean, clean, clean! My poor tootsies were soaked in a delightful soup of dried flowers and herbs and exquisitely oil-scented water. My feet were pampered with a turbinado sugar scrub and my nails were trimmed and filed carefully. I was having a painful arthritis flare, and Jeanna treated my hands and feet gently and professionally. My nails look beautiful. Jeanna uses top of the line products, and her knowledge of the industry is extensive. Her integrity for what she does is unmatched. Her personality is fresh, the conversation funny, and the experience delightful. I'd rather save up and have Jeanna do my hands and feet once a month than go to the strip mall mani/pedi places on a more frequent basis. Frenchy's is a cool little place and I think I've found a new hairdresser, too. Everyone is friendly, low-key, modern and cool without that ""tragical hipness"" that pervades most high-end salons in Austin. Thank you Jeanna and Frenchy's! I desperately want to keep frenchies my secret. I wasn't going to write a review. They have easy, pleasant scheduling and a non-rushed atmosphere. It felt like I was at a good old fashioned hair shop. I heard gossip amongst the hair dryers, I read magazines in the lounge, all while being in a really cool retro pink and black salon. Yes, non-rushed, not overpriced, and definitely awesome hair salon. The girls working there were beautiful and friendly hairstylists, a truly rare and deadly combination. Okay enough swooning. I was blown away by my color, it was perfect. I have paid over four hundred dollars at Jackson Ruiz for a blah color, three hundred at ann kelso for stripey highlights, a hundred and fifty at the mall for a simple dye job gone bad, three hundred at orbitz salon for a colorist to tell me he couldn't dye my hair lighter because it was too complicated. so I have experience paying too much for bad hair. I got the perfect shade of red here, they knew how to work with my curly hair to make it look good straight or curly. And they were oh so friendly when I walked in and said,"" I don't know what I want "" and somehow I got what I always wanted in a hairstyle , the best I have ever had bar none. I'd had my eye on Frenchy's for a while, since it is right around the corner from my place. My sister came to town and needed some tweaking on a bad highlight job (I told her to wait and go to my guy back home, but she wouldn't listen:), so I made a consult for her & a haircut for myself. Linda Matthews, who owns the salon & has styled for years in LA cut my hair. When I found out the owner was cutting my hair, I thought, ""Here we go - 100 bucks - out the door."" It seems you can't get a cut in Austin for less than $75 - which is pretty ridiculous, I think. I've had primo cuts in Chicago for way less! Imagine my glee when it was only $55 for my fab cut! I told her that I was going on a hot date and that I wanted to bring out the curl in my naturally wavy hair. The date = not so hot. The cut = still going strong! Somehow, magically, Linda knew just the right way to treat my locks so that are curly all the time - without chemicals. Awesome. I'm a recent Austinite. Thanks Frenchy's; now I can safely and pleasantly check ""find a great hairdresser"" off my list! Pros: Super pro staff. Fun kitsch-glam atmosphere. Fair prices. A Cons: Can't think of any more

Yea!!! I heart Frenchy's! I had originally made an appointment for just a consultation and the person on the phone (I believe the owner) held a time slot for after in case I was brave enough to go through with it. There was absolutely no hesitation in her voice and was confident that Jen was my stylist. I agree! I felt welcomed and warm immediately! I was taken in right away and was offered beverage. I told her exactly what I wanted and she executed it with precision! I am extremely happy with the results and will be returning, definitely! Pros: Kustomer service! Cons: Hmmm..none! more

I met Jen by happenstance when I first moved to Austin. I was seriously considering flying back up north to my old stylist whenever I needed my hair done because I'm extremely picky and I thought I'd never find anyone who could do my hair right. Someone recommended Jen's salon and I got a good vibe when I went in so I gave her a chance. She is amazing. She knew exactly what I was talking about when I described the kind of cut I wanted and did just that. She has helped me to grow my hair out very long, and has even taken me from blonde to brunette. I trust her 100% with my hair. People at my work ask me all the time for her number. Amazing colorist/stylist!! more

Jen cuts my hair at Frenchy's! I have very thick hair and she is the first to know how to make my head feel so light! She is awesome! She is also really good with color. I love my highlights! Jen gave me a haircut unmatched anywhere else. It moves and looks so incredible I get people stopping me all the time to ask who did my hair. She has a very unique way that she cuts and one of the other stylist watching her cut my hair commented on how she has always wanted or tried to get others use the technique that she was using on my hair. I never thought I would be one to write a review on here but I just have to say that Linda is AMAZING. She totally revamped my hair. I have been to so many stylists in Austin and I finally found the winner. I will never go anywhere else. Frenchy's also made me feel so at home as everyone in the salon was so welcoming. Linda is so fun and she wasn't afraid to let her creativity take over in designing my cut. I have recieved so many compliments on my new hair and I have Linda to thank! Great Salon. Great price too! She listened and did exactly what I wanted and didn't try to talk me into products I didn't want. I will be going back for both trims & color. I used to travel to Asheville, NC every few months to get Linda to do my hair. When she told me she was moving to Austin and opening Frenchy's I was ecstatic. She knows what will look good on me, and I am always comfortable just letting her do what she thinks will look fabulous. I have never been disappointed. The salon itself it awesome. All the other girls are super nice and I always feel like I fit right in - no pretention here. I have visited all of the top salons in Austin and this is by far my favorite! I feel completely at home at Frenchy's and I received an amazing new hair style ! I just returned from a trip to Austin. I currently live 30 miles outside of the Los Angeles area. For several years now, I have been a client at the Frenchy's in Burbank. I frequently make the 60 mile round trip, for a hair cut. Crazy perhaps. However I say..... crazy to go any other place! This salon is based on the foundation of using top quality stylist and products. And it shows. It is full service, fun and unique. more

I went to Frenchy?s salon for the first time last night... After a busy day at work the glass of red wine I was offered was a great start to my visit. I hadn't done anything with my hair in probably four months. I was in dire need of a color and cut. Linda was very personable and did a fabulous job on both. I showed her which colors I liked and what I was kind of going for, and she concocted the perfect shade of coppery red for my skin. She made the cut I showed her work great for me as well. I walked out of Frenchy's feeling amazing and I still can't stop running my fingers through my hair. I have no doubt that if you go there for your next salon visit that you will never go anywhere else... I know I won't! more
