Ridiculously overpriced drinks and extremely unfriendly, arrogant staff led by silly, wannabe something "doorboy", completely overshadows good interior and decent music . If you ...

I love this place. It is the only great non-smoking bar in Utah. The staff is exellent. more

Simply the best Martini Bar I have been to. Most creative martini's, best martini bar to bring a girl, best flavors, much like a great looking woman (ok person) everything just adds up! more

Not bad. 12/23/2003

used to be my favorite in SLC, but has become a little too trendy, in other words crowded. Drinks are definitely not cheap but well worth it, the atmosphere is great, and I enjoy the mature laid-back 20-something crowd. Only downside is that it has become pretty popular and as a result you'll have a tough time finding some to sit or stand on the weekends. Pros: laid back, excellent drinks, cool atmosphere Cons: price, far to crowded more

think twice 9/15/2003

bought membership....came back a week later, forgot membership receit, but had my Identification. the owner took my identification to find my membership on the records.....They could not find it and then told me that, "we keep really good records and we don't have records of you buying a membership. but you could buy a temporary for 5.00?" we left and drove straight home to get membership....drove back and showed it to the owner. she apologized and did not even comp us one drink or anything!!!! i was PISSED! not going back. Pros: street visibility, no smoking, tasty martinis Cons: pricey, no parking more

Thought I had gotten out of Salt Lake! 1/21/2003

The Red Door was an amazing experience that literally made me feel like I had left Salt Lake. The atmosphere is incredible and service was top notch. I would highly recommned The Red Bar to any local or visitor in Salt Lake City. more

Were not in slc anymore 1/16/2003

The Red Door was an incredible experience. It had a very metropolitan feel. The music and atmosphere are incredible all topped off with a money shrine and Che on the wall. Service was great. Have you seen their name tags? more

A Touch of Class 1/14/2003

This place is a blast from a big city, Salt Lake has been waiting for something like this. It may be a bit small but the place is awesome and it's a great place to hang out with friends and have the best Martinis in town. more

better hit the atm 1/5/2003

This place is pretty cool although the service is terrible and the martini's are expensive. One plus is that it's a non-smoking club. more

The Red Door is Red Hot! 11/29/2002

The Red Door is so awesome! The whole way it's decorated is the best in Salt Lake, and it's so classy! There is a good crowd and it's a good place to meet people. Drink prices are average, but the selection of martinis is unbelievable! Try the green apple martini and the chocolate-tini. Two thumbs up! Pros: classy, good crowd, no cover Cons: not much parking more

  • The Scene
Just west of Hotel Monaco, what was once a nondescript office has been transformed into one of Salt Lake's most hopping nightclubs. Step beyond the Red Door and into what feels like a funky little jazz bar in a much larger town. A smattering of tables dot the cluttered interior, which isn't much larger than your typical accounting office. Exposed red brick and pipes, a few comfortable couches and a floor-to-ceiling bar complete the vision, defiantly hip for little ol' Salt Lake.

    The Draw
There's little more than appetizers on the food menu, but it doesn't much matter--the point here is cocktails, martinis and wine. That floor-to-ceiling selection of liquors and liqueurs will surely tempt you, though Red Door offers a few microbrew selections and more traditional drinks for more standard tastes. Desserts, gourmet coffees and espresso create a trendy, diverse atmosphere for an after-dinner drink or apéritif.
