Visit Houston's first expanded electronic library! Located on the first floor of the Brays Oaks Tower Building, this gem of a public facility replaces the previous Morris Frank library on Bellfort. \r \r The first in the nation to do so, Houston has already opened two HPLXpress electronic libraries, but Frank is the first to combine both high-end electronic and standard book collection library services. \r \r Houston leads the U.S.in opening the doors to this library of tomorrow, complete with Wii system, 25 desktop computers, 35 laptops available for check out and use on-site, free wireless, 2 study rooms, a conference room and a meeting room. The decor is eye-popping modern, done in primary colors, lots of stainless steel and glass, colorful floating ceiling accents, red pendant lights and a black loft-style ceiling. \r \r Frank is a design build concept two years in the making, created by HPL planning and facilities staff, Houston locals mArchitects for design, and SpawMaxwell for build-out. Frank is truly a work of art that all Houstonians should be proud of. Polish up your Power Card and go check it out.\r \r Morris Frank library is named for the legendary Houston sports columnist Morris Frank, who first wrote for the Houston Post in 1937 and later, the Houston Chronicle. Fascinating memorabilia and mementos donated by the family are on permanent display.\r \r more
