Cameras Galore 10/5/2005

Francis Camera on Kapiolani Blvd does seem to attract clients who are very knowledgeable and are professionals in the photography field. I also agree that the staff there did not have much patience for us newbies asking questions. I felt inferior to them and they did not seem to want me touching their equipment. If you are looking for an expensive camera and have the money to spend on it, then go to Francis Camera because they will probably carry it. Otherwise, go to Shirokiya or CompUSA because the staff is more helpful and patient with people browsing around. more

Okay for cameras 8/21/2005

I being a novice, felt like the sales person did not have the patience for me to ask my simple questions. Obviously, they didn’t get the sale. They seem to be the experts in town. more

Everything in stock, but at full retail! 8/20/2005

If you are a newbie answer yes to these questions than this is the store for you. 1) You don't have any idea of what you want. 2) You need a lot of hand holding. Francis has all of the cool stuff you've seen and read about in stock, but I believe because of the convenience they have to charge the full retail price. They are fairly conveniently located near the Ala Moana Shopping center, and parking is available in the rear of the building. more
