I don't normally write reviews, but my poor experience has led me to start! I took a very expensive dress to this cleaners for a few make-up stains on the top, white, silk portion of the dress. When I returned for it, the top was no longer a crisp white, it was a shade of gray. The bottom portion of the dress, which was black had bleed through the entire thing. I of course was upset about what happened, but the owner Simon convinced me that the store I bought it from would let me return it because it was ""poor quality material"" and ""that is why it bleed."" I was not satisfied with that answer, but didn't know what else to do, so he asked me to pay for it and I left very upset.
I returned 2 days later full of conviction that there was no reason why I should have had to pay for the dry cleaning when they ruined my dress. Simon would have none of it. He said it was not their fault and that it was because my $200 BCBG dress was ""poor quality."" He also said that dry cleaning is ""at your own risk."" I told him numerous times that I just wanted a refund of the money I paid because the store (surprise, surprise) would not let me return the dress. He refused to give me a refund!
My husband and I have been using this cleaners since we moved to the neighborhood 6 months ago. We have our laundry done there as well and socks end up missing every couple of times. If the owner had just refunded my $7.50, I would have chalked it up to a bad experience, but I feel I must warn people not to have anything of value dry-cleaned there.
