My boyfriend likes to one-up me on everything... always has to run the show, so to speak. Simultaneously, I am a birthday control freak and celebrate by birthday for a full week, usually. I had a dinner with a ton of my friends early monday night because he told me that he wanted to take me out at 8. He told me to eat lightly. Why would he plan a double dinner? Anyway, needless to say, the dinner with my friends wasn't so much a dinner as us all sitting together at my house talking, and he, like the huge dork he is, showed up with 20 or so guys singing happy birthday and carrying the largest chocolate cake I have ever seen, but before I could eat it he whisked me away to Fogo de Chao. Thank god I had not eaten anything. I had never heard of a place like this, and the fact that they just continue bringing meat and replacing the sides until you show red is something only from my wildest dreams! I would recommend not wasting room on the meats covered in bacon... go straight for the pure bred steaks like the filet. The pork ribs are also fabulously seasoned and delicious. In case you were worried about cutting the fat with something, there is also an endless salad bar, boasting much more than the standard iceberg lettuce and crunchy far from ripe tomatoes. They had olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and already prepared salads as well. Truly a perfect meal and now I struggle to find anything remotely close to this slew of meat with which to surprise him.
Pros: meat!
Cons: too full at the end..?
