BEST in Baton Rouge 6/12/2011

We got there with no reservation on a Saturday night and had a table in about 10min. The food was excellent and the staff was terrific. This was a great experience and we will definitely be back. My steak was so tender I cut with my fork and it melted in my mouth. I would recommend this place to anyone. more

Busy and Expensive but Good 8/24/2008

A warming - Flemmings is very busy on the weekend. My husband and I had reservations on a Saturday but when we got there, they said that we would still have about an hour wait. We were not willing to wait when we had confirmed reservations and almost did not come back (I have heard this complaint from others, so perhaps they need to be more accurate with their reservation scheduling). Pros: Delicious food, good service Cons: Expensive, extremely busy on weekends more

definitely best steak in baton rouge 8/19/2008

Fleming's definitely serves the best prime steak in Baton Rouge. Everything else about the restaurant is just as impressive; service, atmosphere, etc. From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated as a customer should be. The side dishes are very generous. We loved everything and have no complaints! more

Best steaks and professional servers in Baton Rouge,LA 9/20/2007

Love it! This was my 3rd visit to the Flemings in Baton Rouge, LA and once again a wonderful and memorable fine dining experience. Being a female fairly often steakhouses feel as if they are geared towards men, not Flemings, it feels comfortable for both men and women. The steaks have been cooked to my desire, top quality meat and seasoned to create a wonderful flavor. The waiters have always well versed on the numerous wines and menu. The atmosphere is upbeat and decor is glamorous. Steakhouses in this city are odd: Ruth's Chris is stuffy, dated and steaks are just seasoned with with butter, Sullivan's is rowdy/night club atmosphere and service is lacking. Flemings in this city is exceptional even compared to others in New Orleans and in other well known cities I travel to for business and vacations. Enjoy!! more

Not great 5/12/2007

This place is just not that great. I could see taking a business meeting to Flemings. Beyond that the food is not great. The service is average. It is decorated well beyond that not much. Just expensive to be expensive. I had dinner the night before at Galatoires. It was cheaper there than at Flemings. Get real this place is ok, but just not worth it. Pros: Nice building Cons: Overpriced, more

Had to wait an hour and I had a reservation. 4/9/2007

Don't get me wrong the food was great, but I didn't appreciate having to wait an hour for a table considering I had a reservation. Service is very good. Steaks are good, although a little on the rare side. It's very pricey but I knew that before going. Overall, considering price, ambiance, and quality, I prefer Sullivan's or Ruth Chris. Pros: Good steaks Cons: Overbook their reservations more

Best fine dining in Baton Rouge 2/20/2007

This is by far, the best steak in Baton Rouge. Huge portions (of everything), and cooked to perfection. Pros: Service, food, ambience Cons: Expensive (but worth it) more

The Very Best Steaks 2/3/2007

Without a doubt, the best steaks in Baton Rouge are served up at Fleming's. The fare at Fleming's is perfectly tender and tasty. The sides are huge, and just as savory as the proteins they accompany. The wine selection is extensive; the appetitzers are well portioned and outsanding; its worth scrimping on the main course to partake in the outstanding deserts. Fleming's is a very classy, highly recomended steak house option. Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Options, and Flavor. Cons: A bit expsensive, but worth it. more

exquisite 3/8/2006

from the moment i was greeted at the door, i could tell that fleming's was nothing like i had experienced here in baton rouge. as i waited for my party to arrive, i quizzed the bartender on a few different types of wines. he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. once seated, we were guided through the menu as our server described everything, from the type of steaks they use to where they come from. the meal was a tad expensive, but worth it. we started off with the tuna for an appetizer, which was incredible. i had the petite filet for my meal and, i can honestly say that it was the best piece of steak i have had in awhile. with appetizers and drinks, a dinner for 3 rounded out to around $200. not something i'd like to spend on a daily basis, but i will definitely be back. Pros: delicious, big portions, friendly staff Cons: sides are a la carte, price, it's a giant room more

Best Bang for the Buck(s) 11/17/2005

Best steaks in Baton Rouge. You might break the bank with this one but it's definitely worth it!! more

Great meal, bring ear plugs 5/21/2005

You experience awe inspiring appearance when you enter the store. The food is top notch. And the service is wonderful. This is one of the top places to dine in Baton Rouge. However do not expect to carry on a conversation if you are sitting anywhere in the middle of the floor area. The noise level is much too high for this style restaurant. I have eaten there 3 times each time sitting in a different area. Each time the noise was too much. I will go again however this location will not be on my regular visit listing. Pros: Appearance, Wood working, Service Cons: Noise level, Little pricy more
