Worst

Its a place where you can work out but thats about it. I was scammed by a staff member who told me it was 150USD for sign up fee when in reality there was a 15 USD offer going on....

This is a great, simple gym to workout at. It's always very clean and well kept. The staff is great also. The manager Mike isn't a mean guy like everyone else says, he just has a business to run! Mario is a great front desk guy and really takes pride in his work; ask him for anything and he'll get you taken care of! Overall, it's a great gym and has everything you need. more

This Gym is a Total rip off and the Manger Mike is a LIAR... he has ripped off many other people as well just do a search of complaints on this gym and you will find MANY complaints... save your money and go to another gym.. more

GREAT GYM 1/20/2012

I've belonged to a lot of gyms and feel I really get my money's worth out of this one. Danny runs a great gym - - very clean and with all the equipment working. I really like the 5:00 am opening hours so I can start my day off early. more

San Clemente best gym for the money 1/4/2012

Jan. 4, 2012 Peter Pfund says\r \r This is a great gym. Lots of free weights, and db s. and\r \r lot of cardio equipment. There are dedicated people who work out at the San Clemente facility. It is easy to ask someone for help spotting me. Some people go to a gym to socialize. Some people work out do there thing and move on. I go to workout and there are many others like me at this gym.\r \r This is a great gym with dedicated members. The low fee price is great for anyone. This gym is the best bargain in San Clemente. I recommend it to everyone.\r \r more

Great Gym 12/4/2011

I love this Gym! I have to be to work early and this Gym is open before 5am daily! The manager Danny Ortega always shows up before 5am and is super easy to talk to. The facility is very clean and there is plenty of equipment. I even get my morning news/sports highlights on the TV prior to going to work. The fees are low and worth every penny. The place was even recently remodeled to allow for more work out space. I am very happy with this gym!! more

Would Recommend 12/1/2011

I have been a member of Fitness 19 for 5 years and have seen a lot of staff come and go. I believe that since Danny took over the front desk, the service and cleanliness has never been better. It is a very easy gym to get your workout quickly with no hassles. Parking is plentiful and I find that there are always machines avaliable. If I had one suggestion, I do wish they would start offering some cardio and strength classes. This might also help bring in new members. All-in-all I am very satisfied for the ridiculously low monthly fee that I pay. more

Excellent Value 11/17/2011

I have belonged for about 4 years and was not inpressed as I came from a more expensive gym. After Danny started working at the gym things have changed. He is constantly cleaning and making sure everything works. Prior to him coming I am not sure if anyone cleaned and I brought a spray cleaner with me every time I went to the gym. Best value in the area. more

Horrible 11/1/2011

Scam, typical franchise gym, pack you in like rats and filthy. Staff sits on their very large butts and watch people slam weights around. The old days of actually helping people and theirtechnique are gone. They offer ridiculous deals but hide certain fees. Just be honest and upfront. Major mistake and it took three months to get out of my no contract-contract. Go to the older gym, San Clemente Gym. Clean, well maintained and they actually help people. more

Great Gym 10/18/2011

I have been a member for over 6 years. A great staff - Danny, Mike and all the trainers. A clean and friendly environment. I'm also a member at another gym, but prefer and use this one 99% of the time. Great equipment with people who share, are cordial and enjoy their work-outs. more

Great Gym, Great Workout Experience! 10/11/2011

I'm visiting from Connecticut and was looking for a local gym. We checked out a few gyms in town and Fitness 19 won our vote. It has Free Weights and Hammer Strength equipment and It is clean and well maintained. I've been working out for years on regular basis and this gym gave me a great workout. The Manager, Danny, was friendly and the rate, $20 a week, is a great value more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM 6/29/2011

THESE PEOPLE ARE CON ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is a scam. After being a member for a couple of years, we had a family crisis. My wife went in to cancel the membership and an employee who claimed to be the owner said he would freeze our membership until we could come back. It turns out they have been charging our credit card for the last year and they refuse to give us a refund. The manager at this location is rude and unprofessional. He has given us several contradicting stories. We have tried to locate and contact someone at a corporate office, one does not seem to exist. In addition the manager claims that their is no one above him. It amazes me that places like this can stay in business. more

The front desk is pretty much empty most of the time since the staff isn't working, instead they are working out. Especially the tall younger guy who drives a motorbike and the big tattooed guy with spikey hair (guy who scammed me). Bottomline - the staff isn't too friendly and are not doing their job. A good place to work out. People come into the gym\r to exercise! Thanks to Danny spray bottles with cleansers are filled and paper towel dispensers are full. He is also the employee who usually vacuums and wipes down the equipment. If you want follow through with equipment repairs, talk to Danny. Fitness 19 in SC is a great place to work out. It is a small gym that offers friendly home town service and training opportunities. The staff is outgoing, especially Mike! I recommend it to anyone looking for a good atmosphere and local feel. Pros: Easy location and open everyday more

I've been a member for over 3 years and this gym is the best. Danny, the morning person, is great and always in a good mood at 5:00 A.M.!! He even opens up 5 minutes early for us early birds. THE MORNING PERSON IS THE BEST. HE'S FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND ALWAYS HAS A SMILE ON HIS FACE. REALLY HELPS TO GET GOING AT 5 A.M.
