Best Seafood Take out! 6/18/2010

I am sending everyone I know to this little seafood joint! You have to try it- You'll become a regular as soon as you do! Stephanie and Pam are a delight to know. They provide the freshest, tastiest seafood I have ever had, and they make it fun to shop there. The take out menu is AWESOME! I have tried the Fried clams, scallops, 2 of their 7 different lobster rolls, Fried Oysters, Me shrimp and the seafood chowder. I recommend it all. Highly! The fried clams are my favorite so that is what I usually treat myself to. I like to sit outside on their picnic tables now that the weather is warm and eat my lunch. I had an important dinner party that I had to cook for- the kind you need to impress. I asked Steph and Pam for a winning recipe. They gave me the most fabulous, easy to prepare recipes. Mussels in a wine and butter sauce, and Swordfish with Bacon and Onions. It was a hit! Guests ate every bite and the dinner was a success I can't stress enough to go to this store! whether you want to pick up something for dinner like lobsters and clams, haddock or let them cook for you. You will be welcomed, with a warm smile and given some of the best food around! Pros: Great Food!!!! Best Chowder!!! Clean! more

Great place to get great food from really nice people! 6/24/2009

This is a fun place to visit- It is owned by two women who take a real pride in what they do! The store always smells clean and good- The fish case is filled with great local (maine shrimp, haddock, scallops, salmon and lobster meat) and not so local (tiger shrimp, calamari, alaskan salmon) seafood. They both know how to cook and have fabulous recipes to send you home with if you are cooking yourself. I visit here whenever I can and have had just about everything on the menu. My favorites are the Haddock Sandwich and the Fried Clams... But don't forget to have their Seafood chowder- You won't forgive yourslef if you miss it. Pros: Haddock Sandwich and Fried clams are the best Ive had Cons: little bit outside of Ptld but worth the trip up Rte 100 more

freshest seafood around! yummiest take out 10/26/2007

These girtls know how to cook! If you are looking for some great fried clams or a lobster roll ( they have 7 different kinds) this is the place to go! They make one of the best chowders I have ever had. \r The place can be hard to find and I wish they had more places to sit. I just sit in my car. or take it home.\r My husband gets the Haddock sandwhich everytime. he swears its the best. \r They have a large fresh seafood display - freshest haddock anywhere in maine! And Tubs of Maine shrimp when in season. The store always smells good which is a sure sign of a clean establishment. The two women who own and run the store are nice and funny. It is always a joy to go shopping there. \r Pricing: They do not play the Tourist game- I love that! Their prices are fair and almost always lower then anyone around. especially the grocery stores! but who wants their fish from there anyway?\r Next time I go I am trying the Garlic Lobster roll! Pros: fabulous food great price great help Cons: location isn't the prettiet parking lot no view more
